フィリピン国防省は
１９日、フィリピン海軍の哨戒艇が
南シナ海のフィリピンの排他的経済水域（ＥＥＺ）内を航行していた
中国漁船に異常接近し、中国側の船を傷つけたとして
在フィリピン中国大使館に謝罪したことを明らかにした。
中国漁船はＥＥＺ内で違法操業をしていたとみられるが
逆に謝罪をしたフィリピン側の弱腰の態度に
フィリピン国内からの反発が予想される。
フィリピン国防省によると
フィリピン海軍の哨戒艇が１８日早朝
密漁の疑いのある中国漁船を発見し、臨検を行うため停止を求めた。
しかし、中国漁船は追跡を振り切って逃走。
哨戒艇は、中国漁船がロープに数珠つなぎにして引航していた
３５隻の無人の小型ボートに接触した。
漁船は綱を切り、小型ボートを置き去りにして公海に逃げたという。
フィリピン国防省の報道官は
「密漁の疑いとは別に、中国漁船が引航していた小型ボートに
接触したことは我々の誤りだ」としたうえで
弱腰との批判に対しては「我々は紳士なので、中国側に謝罪した」と話したという。

邦人死亡
フィリピン セブ島の地元警察によりますと
死亡したのはモリシタ・ミチト（53歳）さんで
9月29日に観光目的で、一人でフィリピンに入国していました。
死亡した10月17日はセブ島に滞在中で
ビーチリゾートの海で
ダイビングの日本人インストラクターとボートで沖に出て
シュノーケリングをしていたということです。
モリシタさんが呼吸をしていない状態で海に浮いているのを
ボートに乗っていたフィリピン人スタッフが見つけて救出し
病院に運びましたが、まもなく死亡が確認されました。
死因は窒息死で、警察は、モリシタさんが溺れた可能性が高いとみて
インストラクターなどから詳しい事情を聴いています。

フィリピン ミンダナオ地方南スリガオ州ヒナトゥアン町の民家で
17日夜、酒に酔った男性(38)が妻(35)を
エアガンで射殺したとして、逮捕された。
調べでは、帰宅したばかりの妻に向かって突然男性が発砲した。
妻は右胸に被弾し、病院に搬送されたが間もなく死亡した。
男性は犯行後逃走したが、通報を受け駆け付けた警官に拘束された。
