１７日、アキノ大統領が乗った車列の進路に
自動車で逆走してきた警察官を解雇したことを明らかにした。
大統領スポークスマンによると
この警官は、運転していた車をＵターンさせ
大統領警備隊の制止を無視して
公務からの帰りのアキノ大統領の車列の前に無理に割り込もうとしたという。
このため、警備隊が警官を拘束。
警官は、傲慢な態度で
なぜＵターンしてはいけないのかと言い張ったという。
大統領スポークスマンは
この警官がなぜ大統領の車列の進路に向かってきたのかは分からないと述べた。
アキノ大統領は、大統領の車列が道を開けさせるために
サイレンを鳴らすのを禁止し、ライトを点滅させるのにとどめている。
