１６日、ダバオ市内旧日本人墓地の「沖縄の塔」で慰霊祭を開いた。

装備が貧弱で最低限の防衛力の構築が課題となっている
フィリピン軍への支援を今後も強化すると表明した。
スカボロー礁（中国名・黄岩島）での艦船にらみ合いなど
中国とフィリピンとのトラブルが続く
南シナ海情勢についても意見交換したという。
アメリカ太平洋軍司令官は、フィリピン国軍本部も訪れ、幹部と会談した。

「風俗嬢」として働いていた
14歳の少女１人と17歳の少女２人がフィリピン国家警察に保護された。
「風俗店で未成年の少女が働いている」と匿名の通報があり
３人の保護につながった。
国家警察は、逃げた店主の行方を追っている。
