~Forward Nahomi “Naho" Kawasumi of Japanese side INAC Kobe Leonessa will be joining Seattle Reign FC for the 2014 NWSL season.
In 2013, Naho was named the Nadeshiko League MVP, was the league’s second leading scorer behind Reign FC's Bev Goebel, and has been on the league’s Best XI roster four years running. She scored a combined 46 goals for INAC from 2009-2012. Naho helped lead INAC to three consecutive Nadeshiko league titles from 2011-2013.
“I'm very happy to be a member of Seattle Reign FC," Naho said. "Though it’s my first time to live and play in the US, I will adapt myself to my new life as soon as possible. I’ll try to do my best for the victory of Seattle Reign FC. You can count on my play."
