Confucius

The Enemy of the Best is, good
Woke up at 5:10 AM today and just finished my blog post! ✨
"Think with ultimate seriousness, and wisdom will emerge."
These are the words of Shingen Takeda.
It seems that this wisdom comes from both the inside and the outside.
In this case, it came from a sentence in The Analects of Confucius that I found in a book:
"No guessing, no insisting, no flexibility-lacking stubbornness, and no self-centeredness." (Mui, Muhitsu, Mugo, Muga)
Do not conjecture.
Do not force your way.
Do not be obstinate.
Do not be self-centered.
For someone like me with a "commanding" leadership style, these words pierce straight through my heart (haha).
It is fascinating to find this passage in the exact same section as "Keiten Aijin" (Revere Heaven, Love People) from the Nanshu O Ikun (The Teachings of Saigo Takamori).
Practicing "no guessing, no insisting, no stubbornness, and no self-centeredness" might just be the very path required to reach the state of "Revere Heaven, Love People."
This also resonates deeply with the principles of How to Win Friends and Influence People.
After all, principles are both universal and unchanging.
Living in alignment with these principles—I am still very much on a journey of training.
"The enemy of the best is good."
The time has come for me to confront these words with ultimate seriousness.
Let’s make today another highly creative and exciting day!
