The Enemy of the Best is, good
Good morning! ☀️
Woke up at 5:40 AM today, and just finished writing my blog post. ✨
For about a week now, I’ve been reading Peter Drucker’s Management, taking it in just one line a day.
"Management must become entrepreneurial."
Wait a minute.
I used to think management was closer to "administration or control," so wouldn't it be different from being an entrepreneur?
But looking into it, I realized that the modern distinction we make between "management" and "leadership" actually came much later. Drucker, the father of management himself, never separated the two.
This resonates deeply with my own real-world experience.
When you truly push management to its limits, you inevitably find yourself having to drive both leadership and innovation.
There is no escaping it.
Until I relearned this concept today, I had subconsciously accepted the status quo, thinking, "I guess that's just how it is."
But now it makes total sense—no wonder I felt that lingering sense of friction.
Drucker's true vision for management is not something that ends with a single, narrow aspect like "control."
It really shows how crucial it is to study the origins and history of things.
"The enemy of the 'best' is the 'good'."
The time has come for me to truly confront this quote and put it into practice.
Let’s make today another incredibly creative and exciting day!
