MornIng page

The Enemy of the Best is, good

Good morning! ☀
Woke up at 5:00 AM today and just finished a blog post. ✨
It has been about 180 days since I started my "Morning Pages." I really want to give myself a pat on the back for writing every single day without fail.
Looking back through them after a while, I noticed my handwriting has become quite messy lately.
When I first started, it took me 30 minutes to fill one A4 sheet, but recently I’ve been finishing in about 11 minutes.
I suppose 180 days of practice makes you faster, but that might be a bit too fast.
This morning, I tried writing neatly enough to be legible, and it took about 14 minutes.
That 3-minute difference is surprisingly significant.
One of the benefits of Morning Pages is increasing the "torque" of your thoughts.
With a smartphone, you can type faster than you can think. With handwriting, the physical act of writing is slower than your thoughts.
That split-second gap is vital for increasing your thinking torque. It really makes me feel that our 300,000 years of human evolution haven't quite caught up with the social progress of the last 100 years.
That is exactly why we must keep honing ourselves.
"The Enemy of the Best is, Good."
The time has come for me to take these words to heart and truly commit.
Let’s make today a highly creative and exciting day!
