天皇（てんのう、英: emperor）は、
日本国憲法において日本国および
日本国民統合の象徴と規定される
地位、またはその地位にある個人なります。
英語で説明すると以下になります。

２月２３日は令和天皇の誕生日です。
The Emperor’s birthday falls on Tuesday this year.
今年の天皇誕生日は火曜日に当たります。

which is the birthday of the current emperor.
２月２３日は現在の天皇誕生日で祝日です。
The main gate of the Imperial Palace is
open to the public on the Emperor’s birthday.
皇居の正門は、天皇誕生日に一般開放されます。

英検の筆記試験で天皇について出ることは、
基本ありませんが、1級の二次面接について、
天皇制の是非を聞く問題や
質疑応答で聞かれたことがあるといわれています。
そのため、一度は考えておくといいかもしれません。
特に、イギリス王室と比較されることもあるので、
確認しておくといいでしょう。
