After kissing him and clearly declaring that she is his true girlfriend, there is no room for argument. If you are not too skeptical, you will believe that they are really dating.
The important thing is whether or not they can make this lie the truth. It's the beginning of a new story for Chizuru!
For Kazuya and Chizuru to become lovers
Now, let's calm down and sort out the current situation of the two of them.
Let's start with Kazuya. Kazuya should think that the fact that Chizuru kissed him and told him that she was his "genuine girlfriend" was all professional and done to cover up his lie (i.e., a lie). So he thinks of it as a huge inconvenience to Chizuru. He would be worried that she would have hated him for putting her through such a strain. You might expect Kazuya to realize Chizuru's true feelings for him, but he won't be able to conveniently think that this is Chizuru's true feelings and that he can go out with her. Kazuya is not a person who thinks in such a convenient way.
Furthermore, he thinks that Chizuru has rejected him. He thinks that Mizuhara has no intention of dating him. Kazuya, who cares about Chizuru, should think that he should end the false lovers' relationship by telling people around him that they have broken up as soon as possible, as he promised Chizuru ([ch 219] A New Start for Chizuru Ichinose). Chizuru's feelings are not known at all. It is truly a Japanese "surechigai" (a kind of misunderstanding) (so Chizuru must stop Kazuya).
In order for Kazuya to become lovers with Chizuru, his feelings must reach the point where he will confess to her again from there. He may begin to realize Chizuru's true feelings, or he may be encouraged by someone and decide to confess his feelings to her again. We will have to wait and see how it all turns out. He has already overcome the obstacle of not being able to confess to Mizuhara once (Chapter 174), so confessing itself should not be too difficult.

Chizuru vs. Ruka
And Ruka could be a much bigger obstacle than Mami. At best, Mami could only expose the lie, destroy the false relationship, or end the rental relationship. As for the truth of their relationship of trust (i.e., they love each other), she could not do anything about it. So no matter what Mami did, all it did was fuel their feelings that they had to become lovers, and it was as good as nothing she could do. Ruka, however, has the potential to really destroy their trust and future.
Now Kazuya thinks Chizuru rejected him. I don't think he can change his mind so easily, but he still thinks he has to give up on Chizuru and move on to a new love. If Ruka approaches him with all her might, he might convince himself that even if he is not in love with her yet, he can fall in love with her from now on and start dating her. Ruka must be filled with anxiety and resentment when she sees Chizuru kiss Kazuya and declare that she is his genuine girlfriend. I am sure she is frustrated with the simple fact that Chizuru kissed Kazuya, but more than that, she must be horrified by the fact that Chizuru was able to kiss Kazuya (Chizuru's feelings for Kazuya). It is impossible for a rental girlfriend to kiss a customer, but she was able to do it. It is true that she had no choice but to do it in order to hide Kazuya's lie, but still, the fact that she was able to do such a thing makes it natural for Ruka to suspect that Chizuru really wants to be Kazuya's real girlfriend, too.
When Ruka saw Chizuru saying that she would follow him on his overnight trip, she thought of all the possibilities and bluffed that she had already had sex with Kazuya (since her and Kazuya's relationship had progressed that far, she should meekly give up on him) (Chapter 187). There is no way Ruka is going to keep quiet in this situation where she has to further suspect that Chizuru is in love with Kazuya. Now Ruka is standing in a position to hide Kazuya's lie, so I don't think she will say anything to Chizuru here and now, but later on (for example, after the events at the pool have calmed down), she will blame Chizuru for kissing her boyfriend ([ch 226] The Kiss to Become His Real Lover). And it wouldn't be surprising if Ruka gets impatient and takes bold action.
To be honest, Chizuru has done some pretty terrible things to Ruka. She's told her that Kazuya is just a client to her and there is no way she is going to be his girlfriend. She also even told Ruka to be his girlfriend. And yet she is so brazen that she actually loves Kazuya and wants to be his girlfriend. It is natural that Ruka blames her. Until Ruka agrees with their relationship and says she will break up with Kazuya, Chizuru will never be Kazuya's real girlfriend. On the other hand, Ruka will face a painful reality, but I hope she will fight to the end her own way so that she will have no regrets.
So, that's how I look back on Chapter 227. It seems to me that lately I am not getting excited when many fans are getting excited about "GOD" (great) chapters, but rather I am saying they are GOD chapters when people are saying the story dragged on (chapters 192 and 223). Well, that's because I'm reading about the feelings of the characters before they take action. I have already lost my reader's point of view and only read the manga from the point of view of Chizuru, Kazuya, Ruka, and Mami. I read the manga in such a way that I throw out all the manga expressions, convert them into events that actually happened in my brain, and then feel them from each of their perspectives (haha. it's no longer a blasphemy to the manga). Instead of looking at Chizuru from the outside and thinking she's cute, I'm feeling the outside world from inside Chizuru and empathizing with her feelings. Is this a sad reality for analysts lol.
