3年選手オクサンです
Well to start with to anyone who is reading, I hope that you’re okay and I wish you best of luck for your races on Sunday!
Doesn’t it seem like the last few weeks flew by really fast? It feels like training camp was yesterday and yet we are three weeks into the new semester already… With that realisation I’m starting to see that my time in Japan is almost over, so I am trying to catch up on everything I missed in Tokyo in the last year and a half!
Speaking of which: if you have any recommendation of something I should absolutely do, or someplace I should absolutely visit in Tokyo please let me know, I’d be very grateful! 🙏

Since I couldn’ t go last year I started with
going to Meguro river to see cherry blossom and
have a pique-nique in a park nearby with my friends:
It might be a very touristic thing to say but it was
even prettier than I imagined, and I’m pretty sad it’s already over… However, there are still all the sakura-flavored drinks to try and a lot of coffee-shops that I haven't been to yet.
Though if I were to give a recommendation, a
personal favourite of mine would be Sonomama in
Shibuya, which serves amazing croissants and other sweets that really taste like home:
📍〒150-0002 Tokyo, Shibuya, 2 Chome−11−12 1F
🗒️If you go at lunch time or tea time there might be some queue so I’d recommend arriving early ;)

Even though I’m not able to take any Japanese
class this semester due to timetable conflict with
morning practice, being here, listening to Japanese every day, I was still able to pick up a few new
words!
So to answer 晴夢’s question, here are the last three words I learned in Japanese while here in Daikyo:
- 合宿 ! Obviously learned during training camp, and it was rather useful during that time, however I’m 99% sure that I will never need it in daily life.
- 連絡します: no idea were I got this from to be honest… 🤔
- たしかに: probably the thing I’ve heard the most in the pool, in practice and over and over in meetings and I’ve only recently searched what it meant but probably the most useful thing I’ve ever learned!! Thanks everyone ;)
That’s all for me today! Tomorrow’s blogger is 大祐
さん and in order to stay in line with the theme of the previous blogs, my question is the
following;
What is your top 3 video
games ever and why?
Thanks for keeping with me 👋
