日本各地に豪雨をもたらしている台風10号、シャンシャンは熱帯低気圧となりました。
Slow-moving storm Shanshan downgraded to tropical depression
Shanshan was downgraded to a tropical depression at noon Sunday as it lingered south of Mie Prefecture and slowly moved northwest.
The depression, referred to as Typhoon No. 10 by the Meteorological Agency, is still unleashing widespread heavy rain in various parts of Japan, with its impact felt hundreds of kilometers from its center.
The slow movement of Shanshan, combined with the warm, moist air circulating around it, has intensified rain clouds over the Kanto and Tokai regions. The agency issued warnings for landslides and flooding, particularly in low-lying areas where river levels were rising, including in parts of Tokyo, Kanagawa, Shizuoka and Saitama prefectures.
