―羽生さんに聞いてみたいことがあると。
「平昌五輪の時のことですね。けがでその前の試合に出なかったじゃないですか。あそこからなぜあの状態まで持って行けたのかを聞きたかったんですよ。でも僕は、金メダルを取るだろうなと思っていました。羽生結弦だから取るよなと思っていたら、本当に取った。（中略）
羽生くんの場合、スケートをできるかできないかの状態で、あそこまでできるっていうのが、意味が分からなかったですね（笑い）。今回のショーで機会があったら絶対に聞きたいんですよ」
-Do you have something you want to ask Hanyu-san?
“About PyeongChang Olympics. You know he withdrew from competitions due to the injury. I want to ask how he was able to manage his condition from such terrible condition to that level. However, I strongly believed he would win the gold. Believing, “it’s Hanyu Yuzuru, yes, he will win”, then he really won. (…)
In case of Hanyu-kun, he was in the condition that himself didn’t know whether he could skate or not, from that condition, he managed that much, really, even I can’t make an image. When I have a chance during the shows, I’d really like to ask about it.”
―平昌五輪での羽生さんは、試合前に多くを語らなかった。
「僕も言わないでしょうね。そういう状態だったら。多分言わないです。『そうなれば一番かっこいいよな』っていうのを思い浮かべて、やる。同じ性格なんですよ、多分。危機的状況ほど楽しんじゃうっていうか、危機的状況でも一番いい自分を想像できている。絶対思っていたはずなんですよ。足をけがして、出ない、姿を見せない、世の中は『大丈夫か？』って思う。でも『できる、金を取る、はい最高にかっこいい』。彼の中ではそれを絶対にやるって決めていたと思います」
-In PyeongChang, Hanyu-san didn’t talk much before the competition.
“If he were me, I wouldn’t say much either. If I were in such situation, I don’t say any, but imaging “if it goes this way (winning), it would be cool” and I’d try my best. Probably, we got the same kind of personality. The riskier a situation is, the more I would feel excitement, or in other words, even facing a crisis situation, I can image myself in the best condition. I believe his was imaging such. Got a injury, withdrawing, disappeared, then people wonder “is he ok?”. But “yes, I can do it, win the gold, yes, I’m the coolest.” I believe in his mind, he would have determined he would definitely do that.”
まあね、平昌で、なんか天使ちゃんのような姿で、淡々とインタビューに応える姿って
あ、これも戦略って思えたけど、でもね、
やっぱり、そんな戦略を立てることができるだけ
それまでの人生、日々、決死の努力を積んできたという自負があってこそだものね。
それにしても、やっぱり、あの怪我で、しかも直前2‐3週間の練習で（完ぺきではない練習！）
がっつり金メダル獲れちゃうって、やっぱり・・・
凄い！！！凄すぎ！
When Yuzu appeared in PyeongChang, yes, he looked really different. . .
Somewhat we also thought each word and action of Yuzu before SP must be planned,
a part of his strategy though. . .
However Yuzu must be so sure that he could win the gold, that must be
because he was confident abuot his hard practice he had been accumulated since he was a little boy.
Even though, having such a terrible injury, and with only 2-3 weeks of practice (not properly) well, he got the GOLD, really. . .
AMAZING！！ AWESOME！！
―内村さんと羽生さんが口にする「全力」は、程度が違うと感じることが多い。
「結局、全力だと足りないんですよね（笑い）。死ぬ一歩手前くらいまで努力できるかどうかなんですよ、大げさに言うと。そこを多分、僕も羽生くんも知っているからこそ、できるのかなっていう。１回五輪で金メダルを取って、経験するんですね。『ああ、ここまでやらないと取れないんだ』っていうのをそこで知れるんです。だから五輪を知っているっていうのは、そういうことだと思う。金メダルを１回取れば取り方は分かるので。あとは演技者なんで、どういう見せ方で取るかってところにこだわるんですよ、２回目は」
-When you, Uchimura-san and Hanyu-san say “with all my power”, I feel the level of it is different from its said by others.
“Ultimately, “full power” is not enough. (lol) Suffice to say, it’s about whether or not you can work hard enough till the level just one step to dying. That level, both I and Hanyu-kun know, that’s why we can do. Winning the gold in the Olympics, we experienced, “oh, till much I should work hard, otherwise I can’t win”. So that, we say “I know Olympics.” Once winning an Olympic gold, now you know how to win. Then since he’s a performer, so he might be particular about how he would showcase himself, in the second time.”
こんな爽やかな笑顔の影には、正真正銘「決死」の練習を積み重ねてきているんだよね・・・

“Whatever, Hanyu-kun’s performance in PyeongChang, I can’t understand at all.”
―テレビで見ていた？
「なんか１人だけ、なんていうんですかね…ドラゴンボールでスーパーサイヤ人になったら、黄色い気がブワッてなるじゃないですか？ ああいうふうに見えたんですよ、僕、羽生くんのこと。『うわ、なんか１人おかしいのいる』って。ショートプログラムで最初にスーって出てきた時。『あ、これ絶対取る』と思いました。表情ですね。この状況で、この顔できるかって感じで僕は見ていました（笑い）」
-Did you watch it on TV?
“He was totally different from others, what can I say. . . you know, in Dragon Ball, when Goku turns to a Super Saiyan, he emits yellow aura, something like that, I felt. so I said, “Wow, there’s an extraordinary guy there!” When I saw him coming on the ice for his short programme, I felt “oh, he’s about to win the gold definitely.” His facial expression, under such situation, no one can make such a facial expression I thought and watching him. (lol)”
―２２年北京五輪は？
「４回転アクセルは絶対にやるだろうなって思っていました。北京の場合はもう、メダルを取ろうが取るまいが、あれは羽生結弦にしかできないなっていう。結果以上のものを見せてもらいました。挑戦することに価値があると。彼は羽生結弦というオンリーワン。本当に尊敬できます」
-What about 2022 Beijing?
“I know he would definitely jump the quad-Axel. In case of Beijing, whether he would win a medal or not was not matter but that (4A) was able to done only by Hanyu Yuzuru. He showcased something more than the result. Challenging is valuable. He is the one and only, Hanyu Yuzuru. I deeply respect him.”
航平さまは、ずっと信じてくれていた、それどころか、結弦君しかできない！って。
航平さまは、冨田さんと語っていた結弦君のジャンプの美しさ、直接、
結弦君に伝えてくれているのかな？伝えて欲しいな。
きっとさ、結弦君は記事をちゃんと読んでいるだろうけど、でも、
航平さまの声で聴きたいだろうな・・・。
Uchimura mentioned that no skater can jump 4A but only Yuzu can jump it.
And months ago, Uchimura had a talk with Tomita, who is also the gold medallist of Athens Olympics, where they said that Yuzu's jumps are really beautiful.
Hope Uchimura tells it to Yuzu directly. . .

なんか、年末の対談も夢のような場面だけど
GIFTとはまた別な意味で、新たな歴史を作るかと思うと
本当に興奮が止まらないっす。
しかも今回はフィギュアスケートの歴史を変えるだけじゃなく
体操の歴史も新に作っちゃうわけでしょ？
凄いっす！
やっぱ「おかしい」やつら😁だからこそできる
あたらな歴史！
Well, when Yuzu and Uchimura had a talk programme in the end of last yesr,
it was really a dream-like programme, then now. . .
wow, Yuzu just has made a history with GIFT though, again,
in this week he's gonna make another history, and
this time not only the history of Figure Skating but also
it'll be a new record of the history of Gymnastics.
Really, they are extraordinary！
