「氷上の創造者」の話題、続く予定が、うれしいCBCのインタビュー動画で中断したけど、最後の2019-2020トピックスの話題もしたいのよ
ははは！トピックス1と2はね、パラパラでもページすっ飛ばしたけど、その先のトピックス4は、英訳してISUに叩きつけてやりたい気分だわ！
ってか、JSFにまずは送り付けちゃう？
the day before, a bit talked about a magazine, and today’s topic is also from the magazine. although it is not a so-called “Yuzu only” magazine, but they got good articles, can’t introduce all of them though, today, let Sarah focuses on an interesting article
「データ分析が進むフィギュア。AIもいつか登場？」
サラは、この手の内容をメディアの文章で読んだの初めて！
体操で導入されたAIについてさらっと説明、テニスでの活用法も紹介、で、「アイスコープ」の利点も紹介していて、そして・・・ジャッジに対する不信感、ジャンプの回転不足、踏み切りのエラーの評価への不満、ナショナル・バイアスへの疑惑、客観性が求められる部分も主観で判断されているのではという疑惑、そうした思いが実在していることを文字にしてくれている。これってフィギュアスケート紙では、初めてじゃないのかしら？
（サラ、ぼーっとしているからこれまでも取り上げられていても気づかなかったのかな・・）
“Data analysing is introduced in Figure Skating; will they also introduce a system using AI?” Sarah found such a kind of article for her first time! well, it should be taken by many magazines and TVs, but somehow Japanese media don’t talk about it at all, but finally? in the page they explained how AI systems are used for Gymnastics and tennis for their judging, and also explained the current situation of utilisation of “Ice Scope” developed by Fuji TV, and, what Sarah wants to tell you is; they described about suspicion of unfair judging, complains on judgement of jump rotations or taking-off edge errors, doubts about national biases or suspicion that some judges score subjectively where objective judging is required, such voices were normally ignored so far, but in this magazine, they described them!
改善すべきと提案をしているわけじゃないけど、改善の声が高まっていることを客観的に綴っていて、その声が当然の動きであると認め、「競技の公平性、公正さを担保するものとして、今後、AIなどテクノロジーの導入への関心は高まっていくだろう。むろん、表現面も含むフィギュアスケートの採点を全自動化することは困難だ。ただ、用いることができるところは用いる、そうした考え方があってもよいのではないか。」
と。なんかね、ファンがいくら声を上げても、メディアは素通り、もちろん肝心のISUや各国連盟も三猿状態だけど、フィギュアの採点が不信感を持たれているという現状を取り上げてくれたこと、印刷文字になったこと、なんかすっごく好感が持てたわ！
although they don’t suggest anything to improve Figure Skating judging system, however, they described audience hold such suspicions, and they mentioned such voices are understandable, and describe “As a guarantee of fairness and impartiality in competitions, interest in the introduction of AI and other technologies will increase in the future. of course, it is impossible to introduce full-automated scoring system into Figure Skating, since it includes evaluation of skaters’ expression abilities. but it might be worse to consider the utilising such systems where it can be used.” well, always, after competitions, fans complain judge scores but no media focused on such so far, but finally they mentioned, it must be a step for the bright future?
で、やっぱり、もちろんAI活用の採点補助システム導入考えて欲しいけど、フィギュアスケート用にとか開発からになるだろうから、仮にISUが大変革しても、ちょっと時間かかるだろうね。でも、でも、でも、せめて、せめて、せめて・・ちょっとでいいから性能のいいビデオ機器（せめて複数！）の導入、客観的採点の根拠が求められたら提示できるシステムとか、真剣に考えて欲しいなぁ・・・
現状から考えると、まずは、こんなふうにメディアがいろんな形で取り上げて、世間にそして何よりISUに問題の深刻さを認識もらえたらいいんだけどね・・・
introducing AI system may not goes promptly, even ISU changed their minds, since it may require special system for Figure Skating, however, strongly hope that they will use better quality of video recording and checking system using multiple cameras, and will introduce a system that show the evidence of scoring when it was requested to explain.
however, considering the current situation, well, the first step must be this kind of information exposure, when many media start discuss the current Figure Skating judging problems, then more people may aware especially ISU!
