ちょっと風変わりなお花、名前もちょっぴり風変わりな「ウラシマソウ」
a bit funny looking flower with strange name of “Cobra Lily”
葉っぱの傘の下で、ぴよ～んとアンテナ伸ばして、なんとも風変わりでしょ？
under a leaf-umbrella, sticking out an antenna, really funny
昔の人はアンテナじゃなくって、浦島太郎の釣り糸に見えたらしくって、ウラシマソウって名前になったらいよ
prbably, the upper part looks like a Cobra head, it got the name?
なにげに食虫植物にも見えるけど、ま、似たようなものかな
虫さんを食べちゃうわけじゃないけど、でもね・・・
they look like a carnivorous plant though, actually not, but well, somewhat very dangerous for insects!
この子たち雄と雌が別の株（雌雄異株）で、雄花には花粉をくっつけた虫さんの出口があるけど、雌花には出口がなくって、筒を登れなくって虫さん、ミイラになっちゃう
by the way, it’s a dioecism, male flowers have narrow ways for insect to go out in the bottom of a tube-shape part, but female flowers don’t have, so after delivering pollen, insects became mummies inside
でね、筒状の花弁に見える部分、水芭蕉と同じで、花弁のふりをした葉っぱの変形（仏炎苞）
moreover, the part look like a flower is actually not a petal but a spathe
アンテナのずっと下の方、筒の中にちっちゃなお花のように雄しべや雌しべの群があるんだけど、な～んでアンテナがあるのか不思議 これで、虫さんを誘っているのかしら？？？
lower part of the antenna a cluster of stamens or pistils are there, but why they got antennas, mystery!!!
ウラシマソウって里芋のなかまで、そう言えば里芋も黄色いけど、似たようなお花（？）だしね
Cobra Lily is a family of Taro, yeah, Taro too have similar flowers
