- North Korea
  There is an international issue between Japan and North Korea, which is an abduction issue.More than 30 years ago, some Japanese were abuducted by North Korean agent. It is confirmed that at least 17 people were abuducted and it is said more than a hundread missing people may be also one of victims.A junior high school girl was kidnapped in my prefecture when I was a child. At that time, not only police officials but also many ordinaly people were looking for her hand in hand and I remember that a poster were put on everywhere.5 abductees were allowed to return to Japan when former prime miniter visited North Korea before.Japanese govenment's effort to release more abductees continued and it seemed that other abductees could be released but the dialogue ground to the halt when North Korea launched ballistic missiles and began nuclear tests.

- Australia Perth
  I have traveled to Australia with my friend when we were university students.We bought a round-trip ticket, so we went to Sydney first and then flew to Perth which is a city in western Australia.I felt that great nature and urban life coexist in Perth.As soon as we got there, we were directly headed for the youth hostel where I reserved a room online before. The room was rather small and there was only a bunk bed, no air conditioner.I took a nap on the top of a bunk bed but it was souncomfortablely hot that I thought I was about to get a heat stroke, also we were surprised when we found that our room was connected by a door toa neighboring room and there was no key in the door, so we were able to enter the next room where other guests stayed and vise versa.At second youth hostel, we stayed only one night because there was also unconfortable. We stayed a big room which share with other guestsbecause it was only room available. There were 3 bunk beds and my friend and I slept in separate beds.I started to itche all over my body so left the room silently at midnight in order not to wake the other guests. Or maybe it was the early morning. Then we entered a bath room and screamed when I saw my body in a mirror. I had many mosquetoes bites all over me. My friend and I waited untilthe morning, sitting on the chairs in the corridor.Also when I went to a shared bathroom, we were stunned that the shower curtains were torn into shreds by crazy guests. While one was taking a shower, the other was watching the entrance to prevent others from entering the batchroom.We took a stroll and spent relaxing time there.We went on an overnight trip to an beautiful island named Rottnest island near Perth.Ocean around that island was the most beatiful and crystal clear I've ever seen.We rented the bicycle and rode it around the island enjoying the breathtaking scenary. But the sunshine was extremely strong that my friend got her arms burned. We stopped at the side of the street and watered her arms to be cooled and covered with a towel.At the midnight, we left a youthhostel and went on a walk at night. When we got a square, we were so stunned because there was full ofQuokka which is living only in Western Australia.Quokka is well known as the happiest animal in the world becuase their face look like always smiling.

  Indian Hindi-language drama film.There is a boy whodid not like school and all subjects were understandable. He had a talent of the art, painting, but it was disregarded, even unnoticed.Teachers and his parents were underestimated him and they told him that he has not made efforts. He was rebellious and messing around and acting goofy.His parent were told by the prinple that he would not be able to advance to the next grade.His fathersent him to a strict boarding school.Teachers were more abusive than previous school's. He started feeling that he was faluire.He closed the heart, does not smile, does not even speak to anyone, even to his family members.One day, new art teacher joined the school, his teaching style was completely different from other teachers. It was creative, student-oriented, let students draw anything they want.That teacher noticed soon that Sharrn's closed heart and when he see Sharrn's notebook, he noticed that he might be having dyslexic.Sharrn was about to be sent to another school for children with developmental disabilities.But that art teacher explained how he has a severe difficulities in understanding letters. asked the principle to allow him to be his tutor. By his creative way of teaching, Sharrn started having an interest in reading and writing and developed soon.He started drawing again and was chosen as the best artwork at art festival and his work was on the cover of the textbook. On the last day of the school, Isharrn's parents was stunned and left speechless by the transformation. They thanked the teacher.dyslexic---reading discorder.
- Balloon Lantern
  Paper a ballon with flower papers freely. 3 layers are needed to have on the balloon at least.After completed, leave them to dry for 2 days.After they dried completely, pierse the ballon with a toothstick and take it out.Cut the bottom of the ballon so it can stand firmly. Put it on the small LED flashlight.
- Furoshiki
  Furoshiki is a pieceof square cloth used for wrapping and carrying things. I can say, it is traditional Japanese wrapping cloth and it can be used in multiple ways, for gift-wrapping, wrapping of lunch boxes, bottles, all sorts of things.It can be foled up and easily carried when we do not use.It is like traditional Japanese version eco-friendly reusable bag or scarf.A long time ago, when Japanese stil used to wear Kimono on daily basis. People used to use it as a bag. Depending on size, we can use it on behala type of traditional Japanese wrapping cloth. It can be used in multiple ways, for bundling or gift-wrapping all sorts of things – from lunch boxes or books, to watermelons and bottles of wine.

- English Vinglish (マダムインニューヨーク)
  Shashi is Indian housewife who is good at cooking. Her family take her for granted and make fun of her because she can not speak English. She feels they do not respect her.One day, she was invited to a wedding in NY by her younger sister. It was decided that she will go to NY for five weeks before the wedding party to help and organize her wedding.As she can not communicate in English at all, she had a bad experience in NY. So she decided to enroll in 4 weeks English class secretly. Gradually she got to enjoy learning English at the class and classmates and her teacher became her friends.A little ahead of schedule, her family came to NY as surprise, she tried to manage to attend English lesson but due to schedule conflict, and she decided to give up.She was not able to take final English speech test even though classmates and teacher encouraged her to attend.At the wedding party, they were invited by her relative knowing that she was attending English classes. Her husband was so surprised that she had friends in NY.During the wedding party, she was told to give a short speech but her husband stood up instead, then said that she can not speak English. Then she asked him to let her speak and gave a touching and wonderful speech, she said that family is comfort space and should accept weakness in stead of making fun of and couple should be equal.Her families were suprised that she was able to speak English also regret that they treated her with disrespect.

- Belguen(ベルジャン)
  Medical professionals and healthcare workers are angry with government. In Belguen, When PM visited the hospital, healthcare workers lined up the street to greet her, but when she arrived, they turned their back one by one to show their anger. They have been stressed out and complaing about working conditions, low salaries, the staff shortage.In France, angry doctor and nurse confronted Macron.(faced off with Macron(直接対決した)). Mcron visited the union to discuss the bonus to healthcare workers, when he got out of the building, 2 angry doctor and nurse were waiting for him at the exit. They said "We are desparate". Macron stopped and started arguring with them. They insisted that what they demanded is a rise, not a bonus, also they told that they have been using long-expired surgical masks. For a majoy European country, this is not normal and shame.I wondered how our PM would deal if he faced this situation, I think that he will not say anything. What would Trump do, he will just get mad and hurl in loud voices and go away.

  Bureaucrats of high rank or dicision makers in every organizaiton, departments are old men.Japan has been facing with super aging society with a low birth rate.As couple years ago, New ministry, ciber secuirty was made, one old man was appointed the minister of the ministry of Ciber Security. As soon as he was appointed, he became famous in the world.

- Japan School status
  It has been 2 months since the school of my son closed due to the pandemic. Until yesterday, there were no online lessons provided and it seems that it takes longer than we expect until the school offers online lessons. We got a few paper assingments only and received a call from his homeroom teacher only once. Of course, I appreciate that this pandemice was unprecedented and no one expected or prepared for measures beforehand, however it has been already 2 months passed and we expected that school could do some more measures.As other countries have started offering online lessons as soon as the pandemic broke out, I was so disappointed that Japan have not been able to start online lessons yet. I think that Japanese students would be behind.

- Kimono
  Kimono is a Japanese traditional clothing.It was used to be worn on a daily basislong time ago, but nowadays Kimono is not everyday clothe anymoreand we wear only for special occasions, formal occasions such as wedding or graduation ceremony and so on.I have worn Kimono twice in my life, one was at my graduation ceremony of university and another was at my wedding party.Kimono is quite expensive so renting Kimono is nowadays common. It is hard to put on Kimono by oneself. Many people especially young people can not put on Kimono by themselves. There is even school teaching how to put Kimonos.When we wear Kimono, we get very tired, because many layers are worn. The belt for Kimono called Obi is tied very tightly. Unlike western chothe, Kimonos are made flat patternedWe wear undershirt and tie it with tie strings under Kimono. When we wear Kimono, we need to behave nicely or it comes loose quickly.There is a casual Kimono for summer season which are called Yukata. Yukata is lighter than Kimono.A bunch of people wear Yukata on summer festivals. We can not wear Yukata for formal occasions.Yukata was used to be worn as sleepwear before.If you stay in a Japanese style hotel called Ryokan, you can experience wearing a casual Kimono! It is prepared as sleepwear.Kim Kardashian announced that she named her underwear line as Kimono and got backlash over it. Japanese got angry with her as it is disrespect for Japanese traditional clothe and our culture.It’s chiefly made from silk or wool.Casual kimonos are basically made from cotton.Kimonos can be a form of art.the combination of the pattern and the colour of the textile and obi sashDepending on how you tie your obi and what color obi you pick, you can totally change how you look.

  It is said that Japanese is one of the most difficult language to learn.There are some reasons why it is said so, one is that there are three kinds of characters in Japanese, Hiragana, Kanatana, and Kanji.All three characters can be used in a single sentence in Japanese at the same time.Hiragana and Katakana are phonetic syllabry like alphabet. The difference between Hiragana and Katakana is that Hiragana is used for native Japanse words and on the other hand Katakana is used forborrowed words.Both characters were created in Japan.And the last one Kanji, it was imported from China long long time ago. Each Kanji represents the idea or concepts.Another reason is that, in case of most of languages, around 1000 to 2000 vacaburaries are required to understand daily conversation, on the other hand, for Japanese language, 10,000 vacaburaries are required to understand daily conversation.
- Blackout curtain
  I have been sleeping away from my kids in a different room.Black curtains are hung in our bedroom so morning sunis block.The blind is used in room where I have been lately sleeping instead of curtains so I can wake up with a morning sun. It was so hard to wake up earlier before my kids but lately I can have metime in the morning and prepare the breakfast in good time.My sons want to cuddle up and sleep with me, lately they can sleep without me. It is one of their growth during the pandemic.

- DV and Child Abuse
  Another issues caused by pandemic is DV and child abuse, people who have been already suffering from domestic violence can not contact related authorities because abusive partners are always around. Their abusive partners are at home more than usual and everyone is stressed out now, so they could use violence on partners and the new cases that the person has never displayed abusive tendencies before can suddenly display violence.The same goes for child abuse cases.Releated authorities such as DV center says they have stopped in-person consultation and visiting their house because of this pandemic, even when they consider that they need to visit, they are rejected.When they feel uncertain or their pride is hurt, they tend to lash out and attack their partners.

  Japanese have been frustrated that the daily number of test for COVID-19 is relatively low, it is said that it is as low as developing countries and compared to Germany, it is 1/14.(In Germany, that number is 14 times more than Japan)Prime minister said that he would work on this problem and make it possible to take 20,000 tests per day. At that time, the average number of testing was less than 10,000 and it still remains the same. The major reason why the number has not been increased at all is shortage of medical facilities and healthcare workers that can conduct the test. In European countries, they developed more simple kits that do not require special skills. In japan, old kits that require special skill and manual operation are used so only clinical technicians can conduct a test.
- Golden Week 2020
  It is on Golden Week hollidays now, GW is a week contains a series of national holidays within a week starting from April 29th. So It is often considered as vacation for Japanese.It iscrowded everywhere in Japan during GW every year. Bullet trains, flight tickets, hotels are fully reserved, parking are full anywhere.Accoring to news, tourest spots and the central area of the city are quite but nature parks or places full of nature and grossary stores are packed instead.My cousin come and stay with her sons every year, but because we have been asked to stay at home, they canceled.I have been staying at home.

- Tokyo Olympic postponement
  Tokyo Olympic was scheduled to be held in July 2020 but it was postponed until 2021 due to the pandemic.Tokyo invested a great deal of money for Olympics preparations but there are additional costs of a few hundredmillion dollars caused by postponement to 2021.Experts says Olympic should not be held until the vaccinefor COVID 19 is found at least. But it is said that we need several trillion dollars if we cancel the Olympics.There is money problem in either cases, cancellation or postponement.Usually we can recover costs for Olympics when it is held but I think if it is held, less people will come to see than we initially expected.

It has been becoming popular in Japan under the state of emergency due to COVID-19 pandemic.Restaurants have been struggling to survive due to COVID 19 pandemic. Some of them have been offering takeout and delivery more than before to survive this taugh situation somehow. Some people who hold a online drinking party order delivery menu to restaurants online and enjoy foods of their favorite restaurants. Like this, they are trying to find new and good way to survive until they can reopen their restaurants.Masks are still lacking in Japan. Recently we finally see masks sold at stores but these masks are very expensive. Many companies or makers in different industries started making masks to offer them to people in need and medical facilities.I saw news on Internet that Kimono shop workers now make masks from Yukata's fabric piled up in the stock because the shop closed and the sales of Yukata will be decreased this year.The Japanese government has decided to give two cotton masks to each household in Japan.But we have not received yet and according to news, most of prepared masks this time were defective.Taku-chan had been operating for shorter hours at the request of local authority but closed his bar for while until the state of emergency is lifted.
- The House with a Clock in Its Walls (ルイスと不思議の時計)
  For today's movie, I chose "The house with a clock in its walls" (ルイスと不思議の時計).We knew this movie because we have seen its commercial many times.This movie is for kids. I thought it is a fantacy adventure movie so my kids would like it!But it was fantacy adventure movie but also a dark horror movie.The main charactor is 10 years old boy. After his parents died by car crash, he moved to live with his uncle. At the first night after moved, he hears the ticking sound and explore the house and experiences something mysterious and strange. Then he knows that his uncle is a warlock and a woman living next to his house is a witch. Also they said, previous owner was their good friend but turned into a sinister warlock and buried a clock in the wall in this house that has a power to end the world. Lewis and his new classmate who is not good friend brought the sinister warlock back to life.In the end, they work hard as a team against a bad warlock then defeated and save the world.

- Katasou (Bicycle)
  The other day, we bought a new bicycle for K because his old bicycle was too small.He was so excited because he had wanted the new and big bicycle.He practiced riding his new bike but he fell off his bike and hurt(grazed) his knee then his heart was broken completely.On the other hand, my husband took training wheels off the old kids bike so S can practice riding a bike. He learned how to ride a bike in just a matter of minutes and practiced a lot so he could turnand stop smoothly even after he hurt his legs.He has guts unlike S.. they are the odds.S has strong core muscles so he can learn any sports or excisise very quickly.

  7:30 NCBefore taking NC camp lesson this morning, I saw a sad news about a selfish infected Japanese woman.There is a woman in her 20s who lives in Tokyo and had COVID-19 symptoms such as a fever, the loss of the sense of taste and she went to work as usual for 2 days without notifying anyone. Then she tested positive. Then even after she knew that she was infetected with COVID-19, she returned to her hometown adjacent to Tokyo by a express bus. After she got at her parents house, she got out for shopping and enjoyed the BBQ party with her friends. When one of her collogue was confirmed to be infected with the virus, she was told to stay out home and when she was confirmed to be infected, she was told to stay at home, but she told a lie and said I took a bus before she was confirmed to be infetected and she came back from her hometown and is now staying at home in Tokyo.Her parents also told a lie and covered up the fact.Some of her friends have already been confirmed to be infected and she has been critisized for her lie and behaviors now.Government has urged us to stay at home again and again and we see sad news about patients on TV everyday. But I am so disappointed that selfish and foolish people still exist.
