Tokyo Olympic was scheduled to be held in July 2020 but it was postponed until 2021 due to the pandemic.
Tokyo invested a great deal of money for Olympics preparations but there are additional costs of a few hundred million dollars caused by postponement to 2021.
Experts says Olympic should not be held until the vaccine for COVID 19 is found at least. But it is said that we need several trillion dollars if we cancel the Olympics.
There is money problem in either cases, cancellation or postponement.
Usually we can recover costs for Olympics when it is held but I think if it is held, less people will come to see than we initially expected.
