旅程14日目

有名人に会いに行く。

広島滞在を決めたきっかけがこの人

友人にして著名な炭酸美容家

高橋弘美さんこと『ひろちゃん』である。

ひろちゃんは数年間

ニュージーランドに住んでいた。

シティーガールだった彼女が

NZの田舎暮らしで

その“いとおかし“さに目覚めてしまい

日本帰国後長閑な広島の街に

素敵なお家を建てていたのだ。

それを見せてもらいたくて

数日前に連絡を取った。

この日の為に一日だけレンタカーも借りた。

もちろん前日に携帯から予約しておいた。

広島の中心地から

絶景の続く高速道路を使って

車で1時間くらいだっただろうか？

ドッグランが造れる程の広大なお庭が美しい。

家の後方にある小高い山まで敷地だという。

さすがである。

お家の間取りは

ひろちゃんのアイデアと思いが

いっぱい詰まっている。

NZっぽさも無くはないが

どちらかと言うと

フランスの田舎暮らし的な

エッセンスがいっぱいで(知らんけど)

雑誌の中に迷い込んでしまった気分。

アンティークショップで見つけて来たの？

という感じの素敵な物達が

彼女の手作りだったりするのだから

驚いてしまう。

ランチには豪華な折詰のお寿司をいただく。

ずっとお寿司が食べたかったので

本当に嬉しかった。

日本に来てから2度程

軽くお寿司をつまむ機会はあったが

夫的にはそれで充分となっていて

私的には寿司不足のまま

日本に帰るところだったのだ。

ひろちゃんは社長だ。

経営者としての苦労話等も

面白おかしく聞かせてくれる。

ありがたいことに

日本語万年初心者の夫の為に

会話はほぼほぼ英語だ。

この人は本当に美しいだけでなく

ユーモアもあり優しさもあり

才能にも満ち溢れている。

あまり表に出さないが

もちろん並々ならぬ苦労もされてるし

誰よりも努力されている。

SMSには書けない様な

大変な目にだって遭っている。

美も成功も一日にしてならずなのだ。

そんなひろちゃんの

美しい横顔を見ていたら

涙腺が緩みそうにすらなる。

お家ツアーお庭ツアーを終え

最後は会社まで

見学させていただいた。

こんな立派な会社で

毎日社長業をこなしているのだ。

彼女の存在もまた私にとって神に近い。

Day 14 of the trip

Going to meet a celebrity.

The reason we decided to stay in Hiroshima was to visit my friend and famous carbonated beauty expert, Hiromi

Takahashi (Hiro-chan).

Hiro-chan lived in New Zealand for several years.

She was a city girl, but she discovered the charm of rural life in New Zealand, and after returning to Japan, she built a lovely house in the tranquil city of Hiroshima.

I contacted her a few days ago to arrange a visit.

We also rented a car for the day.

Of course, I reserved it the day before on my cell phone.

It was about an hour's drive from the center of Hiroshima on the highway with its breathtaking views.

The garden is so large that it's big enough to build a dog run.

The property apparently extends to the small hill behind the house.

Amazing.

The layout of the house is full of Hiro-chan's ideas and thoughts.

It's not completely New Zealand-like, but it's more like a French country life (I don't know what that is), and I felt like I'd wandered into a magazine.

I was surprised to see that she had these wonderful things that looked like they were found in antique shops, but she actually made them.

For lunch, we had a gorgeous sushi box.

I had always wanted to eat sushi, so I was really happy.

I had a light snack of sushi twice since coming to Japan, but my husband found that enough, and I was about to return to Japan without having enough sushi.

Hiro-chan is a company president.

She tells us amusing stories about the hardships of being a company president.

We speak almost entirely in English, since my husband is a total beginner at Japanese.

She is not only beautiful, but also humorous, kind, and full of talent.

She doesn't show it much, but of course she has her own struggles and puts in effort.

She has also experienced hardships that she can't write about on social media.

Beauty and success are not achieved overnight.

Looking at Hiro-chan's beautiful profile, I almost tear up.

After the tour of her house and garden, we finally had the chance to visit her company.

She works every day as the president of such a great company.

Her existence is also like a god to me.
