The player of the first match was my friend.

第一試合で名前を呼ばれたのは・・・なんと　お友達

５点マッチの３セット制

２セットとった方が勝ち

第一試合の結果・・・

My friend won the first match!

お友達の勝利です～

I was hoping that the ball would at least hit the bottom of the slipper, but my wish didn't come true.

I lost the first match.

After that, I knew that my opponent was a great table tennis player who had participated in a tournament in Japan, and it seemed that she was a table tennis coach.

あとでわかったことですが、私の対戦相手は「選手として卓球の全国大会に出るほどの実力者」で「卓球のコーチ」をしているらしいのです・・・

But...of course I understand that it wasn't the reason I was lost the match.

・・・「だから負けたわけではない」ということは重々承知しております

Unfortunately, my friend lost to a young man who bought an official slipper, but he was in fourth place...so that means my friend was in fifth place...right? not?

残念ながら、お友達も２回戦で「公式スリッパ」購入してた若者に負けてしまいましたが、その若者は４位ということは・・・お友達は実質５位ってことになるならない
