・・・・・・・っということで、ぼくらの世代はフォークソング世代でもあります。
中学から高校にかけて、フォークソングが流行しました。
オリジナルはアメリカ民謡ですが、当時はベトナム戦争と重なっていて、その多くが反戦歌の性質を持っていました。
ボブ・ディランやジョーン・バエズなんかはその代表ですね。
日本でも岡林信康や泉谷しげるなんて歌手がいました。

ギリシャの近代史は知らなかったのですが、ナチスの占領によって悲惨な目に遭い、戦争が終わったと思ったら内戦が勃発。
その後は、軍事独裁政権による圧政が続きました。
ギリシャというと平和なイメージでしたが、辛い歴史を経験してきたんですね。
そんな時代に国民の心を掴んだ歌手がいます。
ミキス・テオドラキスといいますが、番組のインタビューに答えてこう言いました。
「抵抗する人を棍棒で殺すことはできるでしょう。
しかし、歌を殺すことはできないのです。」
これはいい。
反戦を訴えるのに、文学、映画、絵画などの芸術がよく使われます。
文学は発禁処分にしたり、映画は上映禁止、絵画は展示をしなければいいのです。
最近はソーシャルメディアによる反戦の意思表示はできますが、インターネットを遮断したり操作すれば抑えることは可能なのです。
ロシアや中国の政府はそれに成功しています。
しかし、歌を規制することは難しい。
歌は人々の心に刻まれたら、消すことはできないのです。
歌は人々によって受け継がれ、自然に広まっていくのです。
そういう意味で、歌のパワーは特別な強さを持っているのです。
