米国外人日本語 English speaker writing Japanese Journal

今日は終わった。仕事たいへんでした。生徒を私に笑った。Tacosのカタカナの“コ”逆に書いただから。

tacosu

“コ”はちょっと“C”見たい、逆でしょう?I felt really stupid.
"タ[ス”を黒板で書いたの時、きれいと思った。でも、なぜは分からなかった。

Phew! 日本語 is 難しい to write in. I still can't write my feelings so well. I will keep 勉強している. I won't ギブアップ! You too! Don't give up on 英語!

英会話 - English - Many Merry Christmas!

"
marrychristmas

Many thanks, but this is just wrong! Why?? We only have one Christmas a year. Plus it uses "many" for the noun "Christmas" which means it should say: "Many Merry Christmases!" which of course is very strange to say. Do you tell your friends: "Have many happy New Years!!??"

英会話 - English - GOOD MORNING

Well I guess we are all back to the grind!

Back to the grind is a negative way to say, I am going to work. It means you are a little reluctant (しぶしぶ~する) to go to work and that you don't want to go.

Oh, by the way a grind means: 粉砕機

It means work because work, from day to day, is basically the same thing over and over and over. So, it is like a grind.

Well, I hope that you can still smile today even at the grind!!!
