Eggs 'n Things in Japan will have been offering "Mont Blanc Pancakes" and "Loco Moco with three kinds of Mushrooms" till October 14. Both are perfect for this season.紅葉 I guess they'll be doing pancakes for Halloween after that though I don't know whether this year's ones are purple ones or not.

I touched on the first one in "To The Next Stage" at the begining of this month. Oh my goodness, this reminds me that I forgot to take pictures of the seasonal menu again. So, the second one's name is not official one. Anyway, I hear it's been very popular among customers.栗

Aloha.虹

I tried their seasonal Loco Moco, too.きのこ

The rice was not too hard. Its softness was just right for me. But the sauce was a little too salty for me. I prefer their normal Loco Moco or their seasonal Cheddar Cheese one. They offered "Cheddar Cheese Loco Moco" for almost two weeks this year. I wrote about it in "Mahalo Nui Loa Akua." Though it was served as a seasonal item, we can have it anytime by ordering regular "Loco Moco" with a topping "Cheddar Cheese." You should try it out. The combination is superb.

Well, as I mentioned in "Be Generous," I'm sick and tired of  these kinds of seasonal items, I mean, arranged versions of regular items on their grand menu.

I had it yesterday at Eggs 'n Things Chiba, which is one of the restaurants located in Lalaport Tokyo-Bay.

You know what?Lalaport Tokyo-Bay is a large commercial complex and has lots of shops and restaurants such as Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Gong Cha, Cold Stone Cremery, Lupicia, and so on. Isn't it nice? Just one commercial facility enables us to experience various brands. I stopped by Peach John as well, and got a deep green item with floral pattern. I think it's my honey's favorite color, haha. It's like the color green of Tullly's Coffee.コーヒー

Well, as some of you must know, Gong cha, a popular brand born in Taiwan, has always a long line.

Their Lalaport Tokyo-Bay location is no exception.

On top of that, the location is like a cafe or something and customers can stay longer and relax. Its atmosphere was great, too.

NEW It was raining outside and a bit cold, but the hot beverage made me feel warm. In addition, I found the location gives 2 points for their customers' store loyalty cards on rainy days like yesterday.雨 That's nice, isn't it? I'm not sure if other locations do the same service, though.

I told a staff member there that I'd like to try a hot one because I'd had their iced one before, and asked her to recommend the most popular hot one. She recommended Hot Alisan Oolong Tea and said it's very popular among staff members. I guess they call their staff "crew" or something like that. Then, I tried it with a tapioca topping. To tell the truth, I don't like sweet oolong tea in general, so I thought I should have made it less sweet or chosen "Zero," which means without sweetness, but I found tapiocas go very well with hot beverages. I always thought tapiocas must have been included in iced beverages, but it was a wrong idea. Well, I'm sure many people go have their hot beverages with tapiocas especially during autumn and winter. I wanna try their other items, too, like Honey Black Milk Tea, Jasmine Green Tea and so on. I like Jasmine tea, and I wonder what its green tea one tastes like.

I first tried their item in their Shinjuku location. I had their Iced Black Milk Tea and added Milk Foam and Pearl toppings. "Pearl" here means Tapiocas. At first I chose "Regular" for "Ice," I mean the amount of the ice, and later I asked a crew member to add more ice to make it colder because I prefered it.

It was yummy. I really like chewy tapiocas.

By the way, speaking of LaLaport, Eggs 'n Things opens its 20th location in LaLaport Nagoya minato AQULS on September 28, which means tomorrow. Congratulations.クラッカー  Well, it seems Lalaport Nagoya minato AQULS itself opens tomorrow.

NEW They say their new location has so-called "open kitchen." And the location doesn't seem to serve seasonal items like their Umeda-chayamachi location. They also say the location provides beverages using cute plastic drink containers with the logo and that people can come by to get beverages to go, like they stop by a cafe.コーヒー This is the only Eggs 'n Things location in Japan that enables customers to get "To Go" beverages: Eggs 'n Things Nagoya minato AQULS.

Well, in Japan, there are a lot of commercial facilities whose names include "Lalaport." It's one of what they call "Mitsui Shopping Parks," and they're commercial facilities operated by Mitsui Fudosan Realty, the largest real estate company in Japan.日本 Some of them even include a movie theater though their new one doesn't seem to have. But it has Gong cha, too, according to their official website. Wow, the website can be seen in other lanugages as well as Japanese and English. I think that's so cool and helpful. It even includes both simplified and traditional Chinese languages.

I find Lalaport Nagoya minato AQULS has Starbucks Coffee and Tully's Coffee, too, haha. Well, I came to know that the president of Gong cha Japan once worked at Starbucks Coffee in Japan. You know, Starbucks has opened their 1st cafe in Italy, where people are very particular about coffee.コーヒー Well, good luck.イタリア

Eggs 'n Things has already opened 5 locations in their shopping parks. One of the locations like that is Eggs 'n Things Jazz Dream Nagashima, which is located in Mie prefecture. The complex facility iteself seems to have opened many years ago while Eggs 'n Things there opened on September 25 last year. So, it's marked its 1st anniversay just the other day, and is doing exclusive pancakes to celebrate it for a limited time; Cremey Creme Brulee Pancakes from Oct. 5 to 14.

Gee, it'll last only 9 days or so?  Besides, limited pancakes using Creme Brulee are not new to some people, I think, since their Ginza location already offered Creme Brulee Pancakes though their appearances are not exactly the same, as I showed photos of Ginza's in "No Rain, No Rainbow." The blog post was posted in February this year.

I insist that Eggs 'n Things in Japan should start store-limited menus again. I understand it's difficult for some locations to make it happen, though. But I insist. When they started store-limited menus in April last year, each store had two items on its own original menu. How about making it one instead of two?

ホットケーキ I'm so happy to find Eggs 'n Things Fukuoka restarted or continued their popular store-limited pancakes that use 八女茶, Yame Cha. I hope the Sendai location starts to offer their Zunda pancakes again. Also, I hope Kyoto's Uji Matcha pancakes last forever and welcome more customers from other countries and entertain them with their beautiful and delicate pancakes symbolizing Japan.日本

Well, when I took a trip to Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, I went to Mie Prefecture, too, to visit Ise Shrine and so on. I wanted to come by Eggs 'n Things Jazz Dream location as well as their Nagoya location, but I couldn't make it. I wrote about the trip in "Hau'oli la Hanau Eggs 'n Things" and "Something Japanese." When I dined at Eggs 'n Things Nagoya PARCO to have their exclusive pancakes, Nishio Matcha ones, I heard that Eggs 'n Things Jazz Dream had never offered store-limited pancakes while other locations were still doing their own original items then. So, I guess this is their first time?

My hon and I hope all the locations of Eggs 'n Things are doing fine. I mean, not only ones in Japan but ones in Hawaii, Singapore and Taiwan. Eggs 'n Things was born in Hawaii, U.S., you know. アメリカ

"Aloha E Komo Mai" is a hawaiian word, and it means "Welcome."

I first learned the word while I listened to songs of "Lilo & Stitch." It's one of the disney films, you know, and Jump 5 sang another song "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" from the movie.音譜 They covered "Beauty & The Beast," too. The group doesn't exist anymore though. Also, another group called A ☆ Teens, which also broke up already, covered one of the Elvis Presley's songs in the film. It's "Can't help falling in love" and the ending song of the movie.

This is not an offical lyric video.

I couldn't come up with a better title, so I decided to use it even though the word is part of my blog's title, haha.
