Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact usury, every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them.
８）彼らに言った。「私たちは、異邦人に売られた私たちの兄弟、ユダヤ人を、できるかぎり買い取った。それなのに、あなたがたはまた、自分の兄弟たちを売ろうとしている。私たちが彼らを買わなければならないのだ。」すると彼らは黙ってしまい、一言も言い出せなかった。
And I said unto them, We after out ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, which were sold unto the heathen; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing to answer.
９）私は言い続けた。「あなたがたのしていることは良くない。あなたがたは、私たちの敵である異邦人のそしりを受けないために、わたしたちの神を恐れながら歩むべきではない。
Also I said, It is not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fea of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?
10）私も、私の親類の者も、私に仕える若い者たちも、彼らに金や穀物を貸してやったが、私たちはその負債を帳消しにしよう。
I liekwise, and my brethren, and my servants, might exact of them money and corn: I pray you, let us leave off this usury.
11）だから、あなあがたも、きょう、彼らの畑、ぶどう畑、オリーブ畑、家、また、あなたがたが彼らに貸していた金や、穀物、新しいぶどう酒、油などの利子を彼らに返してやりなさい。」
Restore, I pray, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and of the corn, the wine, and the oil, that ye exact of them.
12）すると彼らは、「私たちは返します。彼らから何も要求しません。私たちはあなたの言われるとおりにします。」と言った。そこで、私は祭司たちを呼び、彼らにこの約束を実行する誓いを立てさせた。
The said they, We will restore them, and will require nothing of them; so will we do as and took an oath of them, that should do according to this promise.
13）私はまた、私のすそ（膝）を振って言った。「この約束を果たさない者を、ひとり残らず、神がこのように、その家とその勤労の実から振り落とされて、むなしいものとなりますように。」すると全会衆は、「アーメン。」と言って、主をほめたたえた。こうして、民はこの約束を実行した。
Also I shook my lap, and said, so God shake out of every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregaion said, amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.

５）そして、シラスとマケドニアから下って来ると、パウロはみことばを教えることに専念し、イエスがキリストであることを、ユダヤ人たちにはっきりと宣言した。
When now came down from Macedonia both Silas and Timothy, was occupied with the word Paul, earnestly testifying to the Jews to be the Christ Jesus.
７）そして、そこを去って、神を敬うテテオ・ユストという人の家に行った。その家は会堂の隣であった。
And having departed from there he came to the house of a certain one named Titus Justus, worshiping God, of whom the house was adjoining the synagogue.
８）会堂管理者クリスポは、一家をあげて主を信じた。また、多くのコリント人も聞いて信じ、バプテスマを受けた。
Crispus now, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, with all the household of him. And many of the Corinhians hearing, believed and were baptised.
９）ある夜、主は幻によってパウロに、「恐れないで、（御言葉を）語り続けなさい。黙ってはいけない。
Said now the Lord in the night through a vision to Paul, Not fear, but continue speaking (word of God) and not be silent,
10）わたしがあなたとともにいるのだ。だれもあなたをおそって、危害を加える者はない。この町には、わたしの民がたくさんいるからだ。」と言われた。
Because I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to harm you, because people there are to me many in the city this.
11）そこでパウロは、一年半ここに腰を据えて、彼らの間で神のことばを教え続けた。
He remained now a year and months six, teaching among them the word of God.
マタイ10章/Matthew 10
14）もしだれも、あなたがたを受け入れず、あなたがたのことばに耳を傾けないなら、その家またはその町を出て行くときに、あなたがたの足のちりを払い落としなさい。
And whoever not will receive you, nor will hear the words of you, going forth out of the house or of the city that, shake off the dust of the feet of you!
15）まことに、あなたがたに告げます。さばきの日には、ソドムとゴモラの地でも、その町よりはまだ罰が軽いのです。
Truly I say to you, More tolerable it will be for the land of Sodom and of Gomorrah on day of judgment, than the city for that.
