第一コリント15章
51）聞きなさい。私はあなたに奥義を告げましょう。私たちはみなが眠ってしまうのではなく、みな変えられるのです。
52）終わりのラッパとともに、たちまち、一瞬のうちにです。ラッパが鳴ると、死者は朽ちないものによみがえり、私たちは変えられるのです。
53）朽ちるものは、必ず朽ちないものを着なければならず、死ぬものは必ず不死を着なければならないからです。
54)しかし、朽ちるものが朽ちないものを着、死ぬものが不死を着るとき、「死は勝利にのまれた。」としるされている、みことばが実現します。

51)Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52)In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53)For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54)So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is weitten, Death is swallowed up in victory.
第二コリント５章
１）私たちの住まいである地上の幕屋がこわれても、神の下さる建物があることを、私たちは知っています。それは、人の手によらない、天にある永遠の家です。
２）私たちはこの幕屋にあってうめき、この天から与えられる住まいを着たいと望んでいます。
３）それを着たなら、私たちは裸の状態になることはないからです。
４）確かにこの幕屋の中にいる間は、私たちは重荷を負ってうめいています。それは、この幕屋を脱ぎたいと思うからでなく、かえって天からの住まいを着たいからです。そのことによって、死ぬべきものがいのちにのまれてしまうためにです。
2 Corinthians 5
1)For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were disolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2)For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
3)If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
4)For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
イザヤ書25章８節
永久に死を滅ぼされる。神である主はすべての顔から涙をぬぐい、ご自分の民へのそしりを全地の上から除かれる。主が語られたのだ。
Isaiah 25:8
He will swallow up death in victory; and tha LORD GOD will wipe awy tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
ホセア書13章14節
わたしはよみの力から、彼らを解き放ち、彼らを死から贖おう。死よ。おまえのとげ(疫病）はどこにあるのか。よみよ。おまえの針はどこにあるのか。あわれみはわたしの目から隠されている。
