aroma nite @ la fabrique updated

so, after a long wondering, i finally decided to go!! i arrived at la fabrique around midnight, and the floor was like 50% filled up. capacity of the clus is probably around 250 (i don't think 300 people would fit in). and it this was the first time to be there, and i was glad that the place is pretty much like underground club which reminded me of many clubs i used to go. anyway, i first got a drink with a ticked and looked around. a residend dj, kai (couldn't take a pic), was spinning some funky house.

at around 25:00, more people came in, and by 26:00, floor was pretty much packed. another resident dj, marshall, took over the deck and span another funky stuff (wow!).

と言うわけで、あれこれ思案した挙句、とうとう行って来ました!! ラ・ファブリークには24時くらいに着いたんですが、その時点でフロアは50%人で埋まっている状態。箱の大きさとしてはキャパが250人くらいな感じ（300人は入らないんじゃないかな）。何かアンダーグラウンドなクラブの感じだったのが良かった。昔、よく行っていた色んなクラブを思い出しました。で、とりあえずドリンク・チケットでドリンクを貰い、様子見。レジデントのカイさんという方（写真は撮れず）がファンキーなハウスを回していました。

25時くらいから更に人が入り始め、26時頃にはフロアはほぼパック状態に。次に、もう一人のレジデントdjであるマーシャルがまたもやファンキーなトラックを回す（やったー!!）

after mashall span for like 90 minutes or so, raoul belmans got onto the deck, a lot of people gathered right in front of the booth, danced and screamed.

マーシャルが90分くらい回した後、raoul belmansがデッキに立つと、沢山の人がブースの前に集まり、踊り、そして叫ぶ状態に。

he really played such a funky and chicago-influenced tracks but i didn't know any of them (of course, i don't know them as i haven't bought records for a long time.....). the only track i knew was the one he played almost at the end: harddrive's deep inside which i really enjoyed at the clubs long time ago. to me, it's a real time classic, and when i heard this track, i smiled.

彼もかなりファンキーでシカゴの影響を受けたトラックを回していましたが、如何せんトラックはほとんど知らないものばかり（随分と長い間レコードを買っていないので、当たり前）。唯一、知っていたトラックは彼が終わりの方でかけたハードドライブのディープ・インサイド。その昔、クラブでよく聴きました。だから、自分にとっては当時を体現したリアル・タイムでのクラシックであり、これを聴いた時には思わず笑みが。

and finally at around 4:00 in the morning, miles got onto the deck and span. it's been about 10 years since i heard his live dj set last time, so i was really happy about it. oh, he has such a talent, man!!

そして、朝の4時にとうとうマイルスが登場。彼の生のプレイを聴くのは実に10年ぶりくらいだったんで、そりゃぁもう、ハッピーこの上なしの状態。才能溢れた人です。

overall, i enjoyed the whole night. i really enjoyed the funky music, drinking and dancing. see you at "fantasize at loop " on july 27!!

so tonight will be "aroma nite" where miles will be playing at la fabrique in shibuya. i wanna see him; however, i still have not yet made my mind whether i will go or not..... if i'm on, i will write about it but if not, hey don't kick my a**. he'll be in tokyo for three weeks.

と言うわけで今晩はラ・ファブリーク（ラ・ファブリック）でマイルスがプレイする「アロマ・ナイト」です。彼には会いたいんですが、未だもって行くか行かないか決めかねているところ・・・。行ったら、後ほどブログを書きますが、行かなかったとしても、まぁそれはそれということで。東京に3週間ほど滞在する予定ですし。

weird dream.....

i had a weird dream..... i was in the supermarket. there were bunch of show business people whom i don't remember any of them. there was also a female reporter who was reporting what's happening there. i was carrying a bottle of red wine produced by louis vuitton (weird), and people were supposed to drink that but they never paid attention to the wine. i srcreamed a lot to get their attention but none of them did it and they were looking for something. again and again, i screamed. i even used pa to get their attention; however, it didn't work.

finally, i could get a couple of people's and the reporter's attention, and the bottle was already opened. then i woke up.....

i heard that dreams reflect your current mental condition, and i wonder what the dream implies about my mental condition. i know some of them. i drank red wine after a while. also, i left the tv on and fell asleep. i guess these facts affected but still weird.....

変な夢を見た・・・。自分はスーパーマーケットにいました。で、誰かは覚えていませんが、沢山の芸能人がいました。女性のレポーターが状況を報告していました。僕はルイ・ヴィトンの赤ワイン（これが変）を持っていて、そこにいた人達はそのワインを飲む予定になっていたんですよね。でも、誰も見向きもしない。みんなの注目を集めるため、何回も叫んだんですが、誰も気にしないで何かを探していました。何度も何度も叫びました。それで、場内放送も使って叫んだんですが、それでも誰も注目しませんでした。

最終的に、そのうちの何人かとレポーターが注目したんですが、ボトルは既にコルクを抜いた状態でした。それで、目が覚めたわけです・・・。

夢には現在の精神状態が反映されると聞いたことがあります。で、この夢は自分の精神状態について、何を暗示していたんだろうと気になったわけです。幾つか分かっていることと言えば、久しぶりに赤ワインを飲んだこと、そしてテレビをつけたまま寝ていたことですが、それにしても変な夢・・・。

it's been a while.....

well, well, well. it's been a while but i'm kinda down now..... i don't know why (i know why??). i guess everyone's like "tgif!!" but you know. i have vague feeling. i guess every person has this kind of feeling once in a while. hoping it'll be all cleared by tomorrow.

いや～まぁ。久しぶりのことですが、今は落ちてしまったような感じです・・・。なぜか分かりません（分かる??）。世間は「やったー金曜日だー!!」といった感じでしょうが、そうも行かないんですよ。皆さんも時にはこんな気分になることもあるでしょう。明日にはスッキリしていることを願います。

helix nebula

all of a sudden, i started to see many blogs writing about above pic, helix nebula, ngc 7293 which is also known as "the eye of god," according to the source, the image captured by hubbell telescope in may of 2003.

and i guess someone added the following to make it more spiritual; stare at the eye of god and make seven wishes, and the wishes will be fulfilled. since tomorrow is july 7, which is star festival, this subject is rapidly spreading. make sure that you do it by july 7. actually, the image is mystic, so i could understand this. anyway, to believe it or not is up to you.

突然、上の写真のらせん星雲であるngc7293、またの名を「神の目」に関するブログを沢山見かけるようになりました。情報によると、これはハッブル望遠鏡によって2003年の5月に撮影されたものらしいです。

で、誰かが以下のようなことを加えてスピリチュアル的な要素を加えたようです：この神の目を見つめて7つの願い事をするとその願いが叶う、と。明日は7月7日で七夕ということもあり、この話題が急速に広がっている模様。ちなみに7月7日までに行うように。実際、このイメージは神秘的なので、こういったことも分かるような気がします。まぁ、信じる、信じないはあなた次第。

自分はどうかって?? 勿論、お願いしましたよ!!

i got my license renewed

i went to renew my driver's license. i walked around the town where the driver's license bureau is in, and it reminds me of the place where i used to live. i guess it's because the ambient atmosphere around the streets were like the one the previous place has. i was kinda worried about my eyesight as my right eyesight is getting bad but i passed the eyesight test.

there's ic chip inside the new license, and you have to register password. all of your driving record will be stored in the chip, i guess. what i noticed was that my domicile of origin was disappeard which used to be written in the license. is it related to the personal information protection law?? the strange thing is that the column for the domicile of origin is still in the license as a blank space. it would also be removed, no?

免許証の更新に。で、試験場のある街を歩いたんですが、前に住んでいたところを思い出した。多分、街の雰囲気が似ていたんだと思います。右目の視力が落ちてきてて、ちょっと不安だったものの、視力検査はパスしました。

新しい免許証にはicチップが付いていて、パスワードを登録しなければなりませんでした。全ての運転履歴等が記録されていくんでしょう、多分。あと気付いたのが、以前は記載されていた本籍が消えていたこと。個人情報保護法と関係しているのでしょうか?? でも、本籍の欄は空欄でそのまま残っているんですよね。どうせなら空欄部分も削除すればいいのに。

what a full of nervous excitement!

i went to see my wife off at the narita international airport as she's heading for the states. her friend was with her but the friend was using different airline, so the flight time was different: two hours earlier than my wife's flight. so we got there pretty early and we ate brunch after the friend checked in. then after we saw the friend off, we headed for the terminal to check in.

since she used her accumulated mileage to reserve the seat, we went to ticketing counter. what we faced ther was that she could not get tickets as she got the seat to go but with regard to the return flight from the states, the status was still standby. oh man, we were kinda panicked!! but after telling the staff the situation and waiting for like 30 minutes, she could get the tickets. thanks to the airline!! this is the second time she got into trouble at the airport..... oh man, what a day.....

うちの奥さんが米国に旅立つため、成田空港まで見送りに。彼女の友達も一緒だったんですが、航空会社が違っていたため、フライトの時間も違い、友達のフライトが2時間ほど早かったため、結構早めに空港到着。で、まずは友達がチェック・インした後に空港で遅めの朝食を食べ、それから彼女を見送った後に今度はうちの奥さんのチェック・インのために別のターミナルへ移動。

マイレージ特典を利用して予約を入れたため、チケット・カウンターに向かったわけです。そこで直面したのが、行きの座席は確保できていたものの、帰りの便の席が依然としてキャンセル待ちの状態だったために発券できないということでした。焦りました!! スタッフの方と状況等についてあれこれやり取りし、30分ほど待った後で最終的には発見にこぎつけることができました。航空会社さん、アリガトー!! 空港でのトラブルはこれで2度目。いや～、大変だった・・・。

travel update:

i got a phone call from my wife telling me that she arrived to final destination safely (?), well, after a great struggle again at the car rental company. insurance, credit card and car size issues arose all at once and after the mess, she left her luggage at the company..... almost incredibly lucky, the luggage was still there. well, i understand that things happen when you are in unusual situation but..... now, i'm really praying for her safe trip!!

トラベル・アップデート：

レンタカー会社でまたもすったもんだあったが、やっとの思いで何とか無事（？）に最終目的地に到着との電話が入る。保険やクレジット・カード、そして車のサイズに関する問題が一度にまとめて降りかかってきたそうです。そして、これらのゴタゴタを解決した後、今度はスーツケースをレンタカー会社に置き忘れ・・・。ほとんど信じられないくらい幸運なことに、スーツケースはあったらしい。通常とは違う状況の中にいる場合には、色んなことも起こり得るというのは分かりますが、それにしても・・・。今では本当に旅行中の無事を祈っています!!

i have to go renew my drivers license. i took licenses for regular and then large engine size motorcycles about five years ago (my wife too), and i wonder when will be the day to drive..... i also wonder if i can still drive now as i had ridden only twice or so after i finished the driving school, and that's already years ago.

運転免許証の更新に行かなければ。5年ほど前に普通、そして大型自動二輪の免許を取得したんですが（うちの奥さんも）、はたしてバイクに乗る日は一体いつになんだろう・・・。もう1つ、はたして今でも運転することができるのか。と言うのも、教習を終了してからたったの2回しか乗ったことないし、それも既に数年前のことだし。
