so, scott hardkiss' websites have been updated. and those who involved in the much much and much awaited his solo album, "technicolor dreamer," were credited; however, the release date is yet to be confirmed. but all we can do is just wait..... anyway, i'm looking forward to it!

lots of gingham checks in different colors and pattern sizes out there, which make me wonder which to choose. if i could "buy 'em all!," that would be the easiest but actually i like wondering..... i kind of decided the one i would like to get but i will check little more, just in case.

i was intentionally watching a tv program, and it says my lucky color for today is yellow. concidence enough, the kitchen stuff i used was all yellow! we have different colors of knife, spoons and pans but what i chose was yellow. of course, i had no intention to choose the colors. this kind of incident makes me up!
何気なくテレビを見ていたら、今日のラッキー・カラーは黄色。まさに偶然の一致とでも言いましょうか、使っていたキッチン用品が全て黄色！ 違う色のナイフやスプーン、鍋もあるんですが、選んでいたのはこの色でした。勿論、全く意識していませんでした。こうした偶然てアガります！

i heard from tv that today, april 6 is the white color day as 4 in japanese is "shi," 6 is "roku," and white in japanese is "shiro." also, i have already posted about this long before but "white" purifies and protects you, and also gives you energy. so, it's good to wear something white, and i like white button-down shirt.
今日、4月6日は「白」の日だとテレビで言ってました。随分前にもブログで書きましたが、「白」は浄化し、守ってくれ、そしてエネルギーを与えてくれる色だそうです。と言うわけで、何か白いものを着ると良いそうです。で、白のボタン・ダウンのシャツが好きです。

while i was playing some deep house stuff last night, i realized anew that 116bpm is really comfortable tempo; it does not bother your conversation and you can relax but it does not get you bored either. i think you can even dance to the tempo. it would be good to make mix cd with this tempo. well, i have to make some first as i was asked to do from some people.....
ディープ・ハウス系を回している時、116bpmって会話の邪魔にならなくてリラックスできるし、それでいて退屈させない心地良いテンポだなぁ～とあらためて気付きました。多分、このテンポで踊ることも可能ですよね。このテンポでミックスcd作ったら良いだろうな。あ、でも幾つか頼まれものがあるのでそっちを先に作らないと・・・。

so, we left deja vu and went to chinese cafe eight
to fill up our stomachs. apart from the decorations, dishes are really good (well, there are some that i feel short on the taste though). my wife really liked the place, dishes and prices. after we left the place and stepped down the stairways, i noticed below.
と言うわけでdeja vuを後にしてお腹を満たしに中国茶房8 へ。内装は置いといて、料理は美味い（中には味が薄いものもありますが）。うちの奥さんもかなり気に入った様子。で、お店を出て階段を下りている途中で以下を発見。
this seems to be a steel sign board, and i'm not sure whether this is natural rust or intended to be like this but because of the rust, it looks like one of those abstract art pieces. i instantly liked this.
これはスチール製の看板のようなもので、はたして錆が自然についたものなのか、それとも意図的なものなのか分かりませんが、この錆のおかげで1つのアブストラクトな作品のように見えます。見た瞬間にとても気に入りました。

i went to deja vu as one of customers as there was a small live set by the singer, "chance
," from fukuoka. she sang pretty good, and accompanied keyboard player was "in" to me. right before the live, half-empty place was packed. she caught people's hearts and actually got some requests to sing more. she has certain skill but she also has something to get the people gathering around her. she sure will be performing in the major field in the near future! i should have asked her autograph.
福岡からシンガーの「チャンス 」さんがdeja vuに来てライブを行うというので、お客さんとしてdeja vuへ。歌は素晴らしかった！ そして演奏していたキーボード・プレイヤーも個人的には「ツボ」でした。それまでお店の半分くらいしか埋まっていなかったんですが、ライブ開始直前になって満員状態に。それでもって短いライブだったにもかかわらず、あっという間に人々の心を掴み、アンコールをお願いされるまでに。いや～、スキルは勿論のこと、人を惹きつける何かを持っていますね、彼女は。近い将来、メジャーなフィールドで活躍されていることでしょう。サイン貰っておけば良かったな。
and about the keyboard player, man, he was damn good! to me, he was such a great player/supporter as he knows how to to make the singer shine and keep the good vibe in the whole live set as he stops playing while the singer is talking and plays interlude while the singer was preparing for the next song. i definitely would like to listen to his solo instrumental performance! but i regret that i didn't ask his name.....
そしてキーボード・プレイヤーの方ですが、只者ではありませんね。これがまたもう最高だった！ シンガーのmcの時には演奏をストップしたり、シンガーが次の曲を準備している時には間を埋めるように間奏を引いたりと、シンガーの輝かせ方をわきまえており、なおかつライブ全体を通しての場の保ち方を心得ているなど自分にとっては素晴らしいプレイヤー／サポーターに思えました。ソロでのインスト・パフォーマンスを是非とも聴きたい！ でも、名前を伺っていなかったんですね・・・、後悔。
after the live, dj satomix played good-vibe music and kept the vibe flowing smoothly. and then, since me and my wife were hungy, we headed to eat something. there, i found great artwork (continues to next post).....
ライブの後はdj satomixがナイスなセレクトで良い感じに場を引き継ぎ。その後、お腹が空いていたのでうちの奥さんとご飯を食べに。そこで素晴らしい作品を発見・・・（続きは次のエントリーで）。

what's your criteria of buying music? in my case, it changes everytime i buy music. i said criteria but i mean it's more like the taste/genre. anyway, to me, the bottom line is whether or not my picks would stimulate or ease, and in all, they are "earcandy." it could be techno, it could be underground house, it could be rock, electro, experimental, down tempo, mondo, club jazz, etc.
色々な音楽を購入する時の基準て何ですか？ 僕の場合、毎回変わります。基準と言いましたが、どちらかと言えば趣向／ジャンル的な話で。まぁ、いずれにしても根底にあるのは刺激になるのか、リラックスさせてくれるのかということと、あと「耳に心地よい」ということです。時にはテクノだったり、時にはアンダーグラウンド・ハウスだったり、時にはロックだったり、エレクトロ、エクスペリメンタル、ダウン・テンポ、モンド、クラブ・ジャズだったり、などなど。
also, i talked to ys-san the other day but according to my wife, chord pregressions of most of the music i pick are minors. i barely know about the chords (even though i have gone to piano lessons when i was little), and the chords that would give uplifting feeling are majors, she says most of my picks are minors..... i still don't know why. i sometimes want to get the stuff with majors.
また、先日ysさんとも話していたんですが、うちの奥さんによると僕がピックするほとんどの音楽のコード的な部分はマイナーだそうです。（子供の頃にピアノ・レッスンに通っていたものの）コードについてはほどんど分からず、そして高揚感を与えるようなコードはメジャーであるそうなんですが、彼女曰く僕が選ぶのはほとんど「マイナー」だと・・・。なぜだか分かりません。メジャーものも欲しかったりするんですが。
