The Science of Decluttering ,part2
The Science of Decluttering: What Is Revealed When You Lose EverythingHave you ever experienced losing everything?I have.At one point in my life, I lost my social status, reputation, money, qualifications— even my home.Looking back now, I can say that it was not merely a loss, but a process of life decluttering that ultimately led me in a positive direction. At the time, however, the pain was so overwhelming that it felt unbearable to go on living. From a result-oriented and scientific perspective, decluttering is not just about tidying up physical spaces. It is an act that organizes the brain and mind, and improves the natural circulation of life itself.⸻1. Decluttering clears the brainThe brain is constantly processing visual information. By organizing and eliminating unnecessary objects and information, the brain is freed from excessive processing, allowing the prefrontal cortex to function more efficiently. In my case, I was almost forcibly made to undergo a “life decluttering.”By losing everything, I was also released from excess possessions and information. The experiences, emotions, and relationships I gained through this process became treasures for the next stage of my life.⸻2. Psychological effects of declutteringA well-organized environment creates a sense of safety and reduces stress and anxiety. The act of letting go weakens attachment to the past and liberates the mind.My own experience of life decluttering helped me clear both my work and living environments. It became an opportunity to release my attachment to the past and opened my eyes to a new world.⸻3. Decluttering information and habits is also essentialEliminating unnecessary information improves concentration and decision-making.The life decluttering I went through was also a process of decluttering information. It became an opportunity to reexamine my habits and daily rhythm.Even past losses could be reframed as “lessons,” allowing me to move forward without clinging to them.⸻4. In closingLoss inevitably brings pain.Yet by letting go, new energy, new ideas, and new opportunities begin to circulate in life.Decluttering is not simply about cleaning up.It is a scientific practice that organizes the brain and mind and leads life in a positive direction. From my own experience, I can say this:Even after losing everything, through organizing and letting go, you can encounter a new version of yourself.Few people will experience losing everything all at once as I did.But I learned that beginnings can arise from total loss, and that valuable things can be gained from it.So, you will be all right.Starting today, little by little, try letting go of possessions, information, and even past emotions—and allow your brain and heart to become lighter.#LifeDecluttering #LettingGo #PersonalGrowth #NewBeginnings#SelfDiscovery #MentalClarity #LifeTransformation#EmotionalHealing #ResetYourLife #MinimalMindset
