■ take one's pick
「好きなもの（欲しいもの）を選ぶ」という意味で、choose the one you likeということです。
次のような例文が挙げられていました。
Attendees can take their pick from a wide range of lectures at the conference.
■ doomsayer
「不吉なことを予言する人」という意味で、someone who predicts disaster is comingということです。
■ see it as the end of the world
「それをこの世の終わりだと考える」という意味で、次のような例文が挙げられていました。
He really liked our last boss. He saw it as the end of the world when she moved to another department.
一方、否定形にして、not the end of the world（この世の終わりではない）といういい方もあります。
■ outmoded
「流行（時代）遅れの」という意味で、outdatedとかthing of the pastということです。
■ get left behind in the dust
「後塵を拝する」、「後れをとる」という意味です。
The companis get left behind in the dust when there's a paradigm shift.
.というような例文がビニェットで挙げられていました。
■ pａｒａｄｉｇｍ shift
「パラダイムの転換」、「考え方の変化」という意味です。
■ pay back a mortgage
「住宅ローンを返済する」という意味で、repay some debtということです。次のような例文が挙げられていました。
It took me ten years to pay back my student loans for college.
また、pay back には、「復讐する」、「仕返しをする」という意味もあります。
■ trustworthiness
「信頼できること」、「当てになること」という意味です。
■ roadworthy
「（車が）道路走行に適した」という意味です。
