■ downside
「マイナス面」、「欠点」という意味で、反対語はupsideです。
■ ripple effect
「波及効果」、「連鎖反応」という意味で、rippleは「さざ波」を意味します。他には、boomerang effect（ブーメラン効果）、domino effect（ドミノ効果）、greenhouse effect（温室効果）などがあります。
■ disruptive
「分裂的な」、「破壊的な」という意味で、disruptive effect on ･･･で「･･･への分裂的な影響」という意味になります。
■ long-established
「旧来の」、「長い歴史のある」という意味で、 exist （or continue） for a long timeということです。
次のような例文が挙げられていました。
Company X is an established IT services provider.
■ have a profound effect on
「･･･に重要な影響がある」という意味で、have a very deep （or significant） effectということです。
次のような例文が挙げられていました。
This book had a profound effect on my life.
■ indicator
「指標」という意味で、consumer price index（消費者物価指数）は代表的なindicatorの一つです。
■ any number of
「いくつも、「沢山」という意味で、manyとかa lotと同義です。次のような例文が挙げられていました。
There are any number of interesting things in this neighborhood.
■ it's all about
「･･･が最も重要だ」という意味です。次のような例文が挙げられていました。
Getting ahead in business is all about connections.
