■ have got no end of
「･･･は枚挙にいとまがない」、「際限のない･･･」という意味です。次のような例文が挙げられていました。
There is no end of good restaurants in Tokyo.
■ forlorn
「うら寂しげな」、「惨めな」、「孤独な」という意味で、sad and lonelyということです。
■ stroll around
「散策する」、「ぶらぶら歩きまわる」という意味です。
■ around the next corner
「次の角を曲がれば」という意味です。なお、 just around the cornerと言えば、「（時間的にも場所的にも）すぐに」という意味になります。次のような例文が挙げられていました。
Summer vacation is just around the corner.
■ kick back in
「･･･で休憩する」という意味で、relaxとかtake it easyと同義です。
■ customs
「税関」という意味で通常複数形で使います。go through customs（税関を通過する），stuck in customs(物などが税関で引っかかる)という意味です。
■ be on one's guard against
「･･･に対して用心している」、「･･･に備えて警戒している」という意味です。次のような例文が挙げられていました。
We should always be on guard against phone scams.
■ con artist
口語で「詐欺師」の意味です。conはconfidence（信用）の略で、con manは「信用詐欺師」のことです。scam artistとも言いますね。なお、suckerは「騙されやすい人（カモ）」ですね。
■ be on the lookout for
「･･･を探している」、「･･･に目を光らせている」という意味で、be watchful forと同義です。次のような例文が挙げられていました。
He is always on the lookout for new investment opportunities.
■ hapless
「哀れな」、「不運な」という意味で、unluckyやunfortunateと同義です。
■ make a point of
「努めて･･･する」、「必ず･･･する」という意味です。
