うん、良い映画です。決して戦争映画ではありません。研究者は自分の研究成果が何に用いられるか、ではなく純粋な興味や好奇心に突き動かされて研究を続けるんですよね。そんな映画です。

I watched the domestic movie GIFT OF FIRE on Netflix. GIFT OF FIRE means nuclear power or atomic power, probably. This movie is based on the real story during the WWII. However, this movie is not a war movie. This movie is the story of Japanese atomic scientists. A group of atomic scientists in Japan has tried to develop an atomic bomb to win the war against the United States in WWII. They had some difficulties to develop that and they got to know scientists in the US developed an atomic bomb at last. The US army hit Hiroshima by the atomic bomb actually. And the atomic bomb and the next atomic bomb to Nagasaki cocluded the WWII.
Scientists pursuit just science but sometimes they are worried about technology they will develop could kill many people. This film depicts scientists worries and troubles. I imagine that atomic scientists in the US also had worries and troubles while developing an atomic bomb.
If they could develop an atomic bomb in ahead of the US, Japan would have won the WWII?
Haruma Miura is starring this movie. I was a bit surprised that because he made suicide two years ago, maybe. This movie was on screen in 2021. This movie was re-edit by TV series broadcasted in 2020. I got it.
