日本海軍後期型冬飛行帽のオーダーをいただきましたので
ご紹介したいと思います。

I received an order today from Z.W. of Kent, UK.
I have received an order for an IJN Late Type Winter Flight Helmet and would like to introduce it to you.

IJN Late Type Winter Flight Helmet
●表・・・山羊革（焦げ茶色）
●裏・・・兎毛（赤茶色）
●サイズ・・・58.5ｃｍ
●Surface - Goatskin (Dark brown)
●Back - Rabbit Fur (Reddish brown)
●Size - 58.5 cm
こちらのオリジナルのフライトヘルメットを参考に製作しました。
The original flight helmet here was used as a reference.
Cの兎毛を選択されました。
C rabbit fur was selected.
全面赤茶色の兎毛です。
All-over reddish-brown rabbit fur.
完成した飛行帽に鷲の目型航空眼鏡（アルマイト）を装着。
Eagle-eyed aviation goggles (anodised aluminium) fitted to the finished product.
庇を下ろしてみましょう。
Lower the brim of your flight helmet.
スカーフをマスクとして使う場合もありました。

それでは伝声管を装着してみましょう。
Now let's fit the gosport.
ニ座以上には伝声管が必須。
Gosport is essential on board an aircraft with more than two seats.
上段
天山12型の操縦席付近。
写真左、円環は照準器の照門、操縦士も左耳部から伸びる管は後席員との連絡用伝声管である。操縦士の背後はガラス窓で仕切られている。
下段
明治基地の天山12型(B6N)の偵察席に座っている、海兵73期出身の馬場守中尉。

Left, the round part in the photo is the sighting port for the sighting instrument, and the pilot also has a Gosport extending from his left ear to communicate with the rear crew. Behind the pilot is separated by a glass window.

Lieutenant Mamoru Baba, a graduate of the 73rd class of the Japanese Naval Academy, sits in the reconnaissance seat of the Tenzan 12 (B6N) at Meiji Base.
菊水2号作戦2日目の4月13日夕刻、串良から雷装で出撃する210空の天山12型。後期型冬用飛行帽を装着。
A 210-air Tenzan Type 12 (B6N)in the 210ku, sailing from Kushira in lightning gear on the evening of 13 April, the second day of Operation Kikusui No. 2. Fitted with late type winter flight helmet.
昭和19年～20年の冬、日施哨戒から戻った左から山中献上飛曹（偵察）、樋口栄助上飛曹（電信）、荒谷富雄上飛曹（操縦）のペアが分隊士・高木一郎飛曹長に報告中。
「天山」12型にはすでに次の直のペアが乗り込んでいる。
Returning from a Nichiji patrol in the winter of 1944-1920, the pair from left to right, Jotobi Sgt Yamanaka (reconnaissance), Jotobi Sgt Eisuke Higuchi (telegraph) and Jotobi Sgt Tomio Aratani (pilot), reporting to squadron officer, Chief Flying Officer Ichiro Takagi.
The next immediate pair is already on board the ‘Tenzan’ Type 12(B6N).
