昨日は広島に出張し、その夜に大学時代の友人に会いました。本当に久しぶりの再会でしたが、直ぐに、当時の様な雰囲気となり話が弾みました。やはり、友達は良いですね。
さて、先日解いたリーディングPart7問題で気になる単語がありましたので紹介します。

published authorです。authorは本をpublishする人物を指すから個人的にはpublishedがauthorを修飾している事に違和感を感じた次第です。publishedの形をとる分かり易い説明を見つけることが出来なかったのですが、ネットで調べてると、以下を見つけました。

と記載されていました。また、以下の様な説明もありました。
It just means that the author has actually published a book. (compared to an amateur/aspiring author)
これより、a published authorの意味は、「出版物を出した事がある作家」の様ですね。
