デ： When the sun sets in the evening, sunlight is scattered around the atmosphere into the dark shadow. Sunset isn’t like switching off your bedroom light at night. Same thing with eclipse.
日没のとき、陽光は分散しながら見る人に届く。部屋の灯りをオフにするのとはちがうんだ。

デ： The moon’s shadow where the sun is hidden is called umbra. Does it ring a bell, Laura?

それはウーバー。カサと言ってほしかったな。アンブレラの語源はラテン語のアンブラ。「影」という意味だよ。
ポ：I didn’t know. So, a lot of Japanese women carry shadow along when they walk on a hot day.

デ： Yes, that appears weird to some Westerners.
