ナイト： It’s Goto Junpei. His father is the three-time-elected mayor of Suita city.
後藤クンでしょ。彼のお父さんは永く吹田市長。
デ： Yes, that’s right. And his mother is “The President of Japan”.
そうそう。で、お母さんは『ニッポンの社長』。
ナ： Ha? Something is mistaken, I think.
なんか違ってるような。
デ： Look at this, pal. It was covered in Yahoo news.
でも、これ見て。「ヤホー」ニュースで流れたやつ。
ナ： This is a business news that Japan Airlines has announced their new CEO.
これは経済ニュース。JALの新社長が発表されたんだ。
デ： You are right again. This lady president’s name is Shimane.
そうそう。新しい社長は女性で、シマネさんっていうんですよ。
ナ： No, she is Tottori. Shimane is a neighboring prefecture of Tottori, though.
鳥取さんだよ。島根県のお隣りだけど。
デ： That Ms. Tonari is a former AD.
そのトナリさんは元AD。
ナ： Come on, man. It’s Ms. Tottori, a former cabin attendant.
元CAの鳥取さん。
デ： Yes, that AC-turned-president Cinema is …
で、ACだったシネマさんは…。
ナ： Hey, wait a minute. You say AC and cinema, making it sound like something about visuals.
ちょっと待って。ACとか映画とか。映像関係の話になってる。
デ： Now, I’m getting new ideas about cabin attendants when I’m on a plane.
こうなると、これからボクはCAさんを見る目がちがってくる。
ナ： What new ideas, for instance? どう、ちがってくる？
デ： This person might one day become the company CEO. I should be friendly with her today.
この人、いつか社長になるんだろなって。今のうちに親しくなっておきたい。
ナ： Then what? そしたら？
デ： Please, use us for your commercials in the future. I would ask her so.
将来的に、ボクらをCMに使ってください。そうお願いする。
ナ： What a long-shot scheme you got. Tell you what, you’d be soon forgotten completely.
ずいぶん先の長いもくろみ。キミなんて忘れられるよ。
デ： I will try not to, reminding her from time to time.
そうならないよう、時々念押しする。
ナ： How can that ever be possible?
いったい、どうやって？
デ： By asking her to marry me. ボクと結婚してもらう。
ナ： Listen, you helplessly optimistic man. That would be a hundred times more difficult.
そっちの方が１００倍難しいよ。
