豊昇龍 (ほうしょうりゅう) 関 (立浪 [たつなみ] 部屋; 東前頭5枚目) が7勝8敗でこの五月場所を終えました。彼は元横綱朝青龍 (あさしょうりゅう) の甥 (おい) として知られています。
Hoshoryu (豊昇龍) (Tatsunami Stable [立浪部屋]; east maegashira 5 [東前頭5枚目]) ended this May basho with a score of 7 wins and 8 losses. He is known as the nephew of Asashoryu (朝青龍), a former yokozuna (横綱).

負け越しはしましたが、豊昇龍関はNHKのインタビューで「今場所は勉強になることが沢山ありましたし、自信を持って来場所に挑むことができます」と述べたとのことです。
Although his score in this basho was makekoshi (負け越し: more losses than wins in a basho), he reportedly stated in an interview with NHK that he "learned much in this basho and can face the next basho with confidence."
彼の来場所以降の活躍を期待します。
