大きな重いリールの付いた投げ竿と、重りやルアーの入った袋を持って薄暗い廊下を通り、吹き抜けがあるよく磨かれた階段を降りていく。　　壁に精細な生物が描かれた絵が掛かっている。　　”ミシッ！、ミシッ！”木作りの階段が音を起てるのでそっと降りる。　　一面の松林の中を歩く、真っ暗闇の中を懐中電灯で進む、照らされた松の木の幹の色彩が覆い被さる。　　『ドー……ゥ！、ゴー……！』　夜の海が憤怒の咆哮を弛まず上げている。　　一頭のとてつもない巨大な生き物の息遣いのようであり、悲嘆の叫びのように思える。

小さな携帯目覚ましで覚醒する。　　すっかりスチーム暖房が冷えてしまった真っ暗のベッドから起き上がり、重い頭のまま防寒具を着込む。　　この沖に向かって幾筋もの深い溝が走っている暖かい海の砂浜に、満ち潮に乗って鱸やクロダイ、ワカシ（鰤の幼年）が接近してくる。　　昼間、波打ち際に立ち白い波が崩壊するあたりにじっと眼を凝らすと、立ち上がった波頭 ”）” に小石がわらわらと巻き上げられるのがアクアマリンに透けて見える、さらに凝視していると黒い影が一瞬すばやく横切るのが見える、ワカシである。

『ピッ…！、ピッ…！、…！』、遥か……万光年の彼方、第七銀河の暗黒から送られてくる非情の発信音で、”狂気の文明からの偉大な逃走”　から唐突に引き離される。　　真空の放心の楽しみから有酸素の　”認識が現実を食い破ると呼ばれるある褪めた狂気の状況、地上の現実”　に立つ。　　無重力で無音の目にも止まらぬスピードで狂奔する世界から、重力に支えられ半身が疲れに覆われた時間の静止した時空に飛び出す。　　暗闇の冷ややかな砂浜を這い、小さいのや古いのが群れそびえる松林を乗り越え、微かに海鳴りが伝わってくる。
