大きな重いリールの付いた投げ竿と、重りやルアーの入った袋を持って薄暗い廊下を通り、吹き抜けがあるよく磨かれた階段を降りていく。　　壁に精細な生物が描かれた絵が掛かっている。　　”ミシッ！、ミシッ！”木作りの階段が音を起てるのでそっと降りる。　　一面の松林の中を歩く、真っ暗闇の中を懐中電灯で進む、照らされた松の木の幹の色彩が覆い被さる。　　『ドー……ゥ！、ゴー……！』　夜の海が憤怒の咆哮を弛まず上げている。　　一頭のとてつもない巨大な生き物の息遣いのようであり、悲嘆の叫びのように思える。

Johnson（Tb）の渋くて内省的な放射、H.Silver（P）の明快な楽天的に感じるいプレイ、S.Rollins（Ts）の渋くて豪放なブローイングが、目まぐるしく入れ替わりバトルを繰り広げる。　　Wail March（6:10）、速いテンポで目まぐるしく変化する、J.J. Johnson（Tb）の軽快な放射は爽快！、S.Rollins（Ts）の素早いブローイングはストレートで小気味よい。　　H.Silver（P）の卓抜なプレイは渋くてすばらしい！。　　Misterioso*（9:24）、作者T.Monk（P）のソロで開始、2管アンサンブルがしっかり反復、S.Rollins（Ts）の豪快なブローイング、大股歩き風のスタイルはとても満足。　　T.Monk（P）の小気味よい・独得のタッチは冴え渡り・展開は聴き応えあり、J.J. Johnson（Tb）の自在な放射は、”矯め”が実に味わい深い。　　Reflections*（7:03）、T.Monk（P）の縦横無尽なプレイはゆっくりしたテンポの中に、スピードを感じさせ・スリリングでありすばらしいもの。　　S.Rollins（Ts）の丁寧なブローイングに好感を感じる。　　You Stepped Out Of A Dream（6:24）、2管の対位法的な演奏で開始。　　S.Rollins（Ts）は力の隠った峰法な実に心地良いパワフルなブローイング。　　J.J. Johnson（Tb）ののびのびした放射は、ストレートな気概が溢れすばらしい！。　　P.Chambers（B）のボーイングがあり、演奏者が目まぐるしく入れ替わり、めいめいが卓抜なプレイ、次第に合奏となり分厚いサウンドになりコーダ。　　Poor Butterfly（6:08）、ゆったりしたテンポの憂愁情緒の漂う曲。　　J.J. Johnsonが弾むようなとても明快なスタイルで演奏。　　H.Silverの明快なタッチの華麗な演奏もテンポルバート風に聞こえる。　　P.Chambersのソロに2管が被さり、対位法的な見事な演奏で終わる。　　J.J. Johnson（Tb）、S. Rollins（Ts）、Horace Silver,Thelonious Monk*（P）、P.
