「ジャズソングズ セット」シリーズを始めました。（２）です。ジャズライブで歌が１曲だけではおさまりが付きませんから、３曲セットで考えてほしいですね。余談ながら、芸能で３点セットは「序破急」になりますね、「起承転結」ならば４曲必要になります。
２セット目は、「It's A Sin To Tell A Lie」、「SIDE BY SIDE」、「Save the last dance for me」、にしました。軽くて、楽しい、遊び心のある流れになってませんか。それぞれの時代は、戦争もありの、大変な時でもあったのでしょうが、大変というのは、今でも、いつでも、そうですね。
それに、訳しても、よく分かることばかりで、英語で歌ってたらもったいない、と思います。
「SIDE BY SIDE」は、バースも歌ってくれているリー姉さんのを拾いましたが、もっとわかりやすい、しかも「リー」つながりのブレンダリーも拾っておきます。
それと、「Save the last dance for me」ですね。
越路吹雪さんと岩谷時子さんの歌です。元の英語詩はどんなのか知りたくて訳してみました。もともとは、男の側からの歌だったのでしょうか。自分にとって、「最後の踊りだけは」のフレーズを共有できることは幸せなことです。
1つ1つは、既にこれまでにこのブログで掲載したものです。たぶん、スマホで見るのに便利かと思います。
