238日目、地元任地に帰って来ました。自分の家や知り合いがいるところは落ち着くことを実感。
25th Feb (238 days) Home　town
I came back to my work place. I really feel comfortable in my house and the place where acquaintance live.

239日目、おかえり、そして
配属先のみんなに「ウエルカム！」って言ってもらえて嬉しかった。でも、その次の「で、ブルキナから何を持ってきてくれたの？」の一言さえなければもっとガーナを好きになれるのに。
26th Feb (239 days)　Welcome and..
Everyone said “Welcome!” and I was happy. But, if they don’t say “Then, what do you bring from Burkina Faso? ”I am able to like Ghana much more.

240日目、2倍
私がいなかった間に入所の子どもたちが倍以上に増えている！大人の切断者も乳幼児も！そしてカウンターパートは入れ違いで挨拶もできないまま１カ月休暇に入ったようです。もう一人スタッフ欲しいなぁ。
27th Feb (240 days)　double
The number of children increased more than double while I wasn’t there. Adult amputees and babies also increased. Then, counterpart had been away on vacation for one months before greetings. I want one more staff.
241日目、リニューアル
今日は亡きダイレクターの40日目のセレモニーのため休業。ダイレクターの等身大モニュメントに噴水がついてリニューアルされていました。オランダからの実習生さんは今日が最終日、お疲れさまでした。
28th Feb (241 days)　Renewal
Closed today. Because, we hold a memorial service on the 40 day after death of director.A life-size statue of our director was added waterworks. Today is the last day of Dutch students’ internship. Thanks for all their hard work.
242日目、休日出勤
ガーナで迎えた初の誕生日は、休日出勤。米国の看護学生の訪問対応。彼女たちと一緒に子どものプールエクササイズ。貴重な誕生日でした。
1st Mar (242 days) work on holiday
I worked on holiday that was my first birthday science I came to Ghana. I explained about children in my workplace to students of nursing from USA. We instructed swim exercise for children. It was a precious birthday.　

243日目、ガーナの地に眠る

教会にて、ダイレクターの40日目のセレモニー。前回行けなかった墓地に行き、お祈りと歌を捧げました。

2nd Mar (243 days) eternal rest in Ghana

We had a ceremony that was 40th anniversary from Brothers’ death. We prayed and sang at Brothers’ cemetery. 

244日目、断水

断水3日目、洗い物を少なくするため取り皿無しで食べることに。早く復帰しますように。

3rd Mar (244 days) a water cutoff

It passed 3 days since water stopped. I ate a meal without dishes to reduce washes. I hope water float immediately.

245日目、断水復旧
水道が引かれていることのありがたさを実感しました。いつの間にか立ち消えていた、義肢装具製作者との合同評価ミーティングを復活させるため、日時を書いたポスターを作っ てみました。来てくれるといいな。

4th Mar (245 days)　Water has come

I really thanked for water pipe running to my house. A consult meeting with prosthesist and orthosist hasn't held in these days. So that, I made a poster that day and  time　written. I wish they will be come. 

246日目、フィッティング

切断者のフィッティングを個別にチェック。ソケットが大きすぎる人、膝関節の不具合などを報告。そして五十肩のおじさんのケア、症状は世界共通です。

5th　Mar (246 days) fitting

I checked fitting for amputees individually. One has big socket, another one has malfunctioning of knee joint. And care of frozen shoulder for a middle aged man. Symptoms are the same all over the world.

247日目、スコール

クマシに向けて出発。と思ったら、突然のスコール。ついてない。

6th Mar (247 days) scale

I leave to Kumasi. But, suddenly scale has come. It is unlucky day.

248日目、ガーナのオートマチック車

朝7時発のバスに乗るため、タクシーで行くことに。しかし、加速が遅い。平均時速30kmで走る上に、ドライバーは道を間違える。乗り遅れたかもしれないと観念しながらもバス停に行ってみると、バスがそこに！整備が行き届かないガーナではマニュアル車が良さそうです。

7th Mar (248 days) Ghanaian automatic mission car

We go to a bus station by taxi to ride a bus that leave at 7AM. But, this car couldn't accelerate well, runs 30km per hour. This driver mistook a way. We got rid of and thought that we missed the bus. Fortunately, the bus stayed there! Manual mission car is better than automatic car in this country.

249日目、フィールドワーク

シアバター工場の見学、日本人が支援して建設した幼稚園の訪問、マーケティングに関する勉強会に参加しました。フェアトレードや地域の雇用確保を重視する現地の企業の理念に感心。 プライベート幼稚園兼小学校を運営していく上で、資金調達のために外部に働きかける努力が必要であるという意見がガーナ人から聞けたことは新鮮でした。午後の勉強会では、隊員が活動や調査をしていく上で、共通してぶつかる壁や対策のヒントを聞けたことも大きな収穫でした。

8th Mar (249 days) fieldwork 

We visited a factory of seer butter, a kinder garden that is supported by some Japanese people and study meeting of marketing. I was impressed by their ideology of the company that emphasize fare trade and employment of local people.

It was new that one of the Ghanaians who visited with us suggested them to move themselves to do fundraising for management of their school and a kinder garden. Then, it was great pleasure that I heard some ideas of solutions which many volunteers face the problem when they survey and volunteer work.

250日目、半日ドライブ

タマレから任地へ1日で帰るためには、朝5時半に同期の家を出て、6時半発のバスに乗らなければいけません！事前予約の必要なSTCバスはエアコン付で50ガーナセディ（約2500円）です。　長時間座りっぱなしでお尻が痛い・・

9th Mar (250 days) drive half a day

We have to leave from my friends’ home at 5 A.M. Then, board a bus that leaves at 6:30 to come back home for one day! It costs 50 Ghana Cedis　(2,500 Yen)　by STC bus, that has air conditioner. My buttocks was painful because I was seated long time.
