She is the god of weaving so she will be happy to greet someone who works with clothes and textiles. Also, she's good to connect with when you want to conceive a child or pray for an easy delivery.
In Kojiki, she appears as the daughter of Takamimusubi and in Nihonshoki, and Omoikane* is considered to be her elder brother (*Ama no Iwato gap between Amaterasu, he was a bright god who supremly commanded the gods.). She got married with Amenooshihomimi, who is the first son of Amaterasu, after which their son, Ninigi, was born. She is the mother goddess of Ninigi who is responsible for a big event called Tenson Korin where strong, excellent souls dwell, support to have child given and easy delivery for woman granted.
Though she isn't a deity to naturally attract attention to herself, she will step forward to work on everything steadily. She is a `stable` goddess giving great result later.
