Susanoo set severe trials for Okuninushi to overcome to check that he was truly the right person for his precious daughter. But Suseribime is like Susanoo: she's never afraid of anything and so helped Okuninushi to overcome his trials successfully. On their completion, they got married.
Because her husband, Okuninushi, was a playboy, she is considered to be the goddess who is deeply jealous, but also she is a pure deity who simply loved her husband innocently.
