というニュアンスがあるみたいです。
very > pretty
veryのほうが完璧に近い「とても」
prettyは「とても」だけどそこまで「とても」ではない
というニュアンスみたいです。
日本人は"pretty"の意味がわかれば
"pretty"での表現が多そうですね。
