〇「継続は力なり」を疑う
私は少林寺拳法、英語、数学などを３０年以上続けている。「継続は力なり」の意味は分かっているつもりだ。しかし、人間の生き方など千差万別・多種多様が当たり前。日本社会は、学校ばかりではなく会社組織の中でも「継続は力なり」を信じて疑わない人が多い。
だから、学校でも
「部活をやめさせてもらえない」
と、一度始めたらイヤでもやめさせてもらえない。もし、バスケットが向いていないと分かれば陸上に移ればいい。そういう生徒がいてもいい。部活のような集団生活がムリなら、方向転換して一人で勉強や運動を始めてもいい。
学校自体が合わない生徒もいるに決まっている。私が心配しなくても、不登校・登校拒否が増えているわけだけど。
I have been practicing Shorinji Kempo, English, and mathematics for over 30 years. I understand the meaning of "continuity is power. However, it is a matter of course that there are many different and diverse ways of human life. In Japanese society, not only in schools but also in corporate organizations, there are many people who do not doubt that "continuity is power.
So, even at school
They won't let me stop club activities.
Once they start, they will not let them stop even if they don't want to. If they find that basketball is not for them, they can move on to track and field. It is okay to have students like that. If they can't handle the group life of club activities, they can change direction and start studying or exercising on their own.
Of course there are students who don't fit in at school. I don't need to worry about it, but the number of truancy and refusal to go to school is increasing.
