日本語でも「学問に王道なし」というのがある。受験勉強でも同じこと。よく一夜にして学年トップになる方法は無いか、といった質問を受けることがある。そう考える時点で、入試で志望校に合格する確率は限りなく低い。そんな方法は無いからだ。
何度も書かせてもらったが、英語なら６０００語を覚え、数学なら２０００題解く。それが難関大に合格する道だと統計が教えてくれる。どんな頭の良い人でも、一夜で単語を６０００語覚えることも、数学の問題を２０００題解くことも不可能です。
難関大に合格するような受験生は、毎日コツコツと単語を覚え、数学の問題を解き続けただけです。ときどき
「部活があるから無理」
と言う人がいます。部活が入試の合格より大切なら、それで構いません。でも、上記のノルマが部活で達成できないなら難関大など志望しても合格できません。
部活と勉強を旧帝レベルで両立できる受験生は、何千人に一人いるかどうかです。
