衣料メーカー海外マーケティング担当のリュウタロウは、自社が企画したセミナーを終え、参加者の1人であるガブリエラに、お礼のメールを出します。

まずはお礼から入っています。最初のThank you for attending our forum yesterday!の最後は感嘆符。いわゆるびっくりマークがついています。感嘆符は多様しすぎると効果が薄れますが、気持ちを込める時に使うと効果的です。

アンケートのメールは別途送信済みであるという前提で、それをフォローしています。
dedicated feedback formのdedicatedは、ここでは「専用の」という意味です。
We'd appreciate it ～は丁寧にお願いする時によく使われる言い方です。

お近づきになれてよかったという一言に加えて、相手の会社のビジョンに共感を示してもいます。
そして今回のポイントの英文はこちらです。

「次の展開」を意識したひと言です。今後ともよろしくお願いしますという日本語の使命よりも具体的ですね。
exploreは「可能性を探る」という語感です。
avenueは、ここでは「協力への可能性のある道」という意味です。
このようにお礼メールは儀礼的な決まり文句のお礼だけに終わらせずに、ちょっとしたパーソナルタッチ、気持ち、自分らしさと次の展開を意識した文言を加えることがポイントです。

「業種」はindustryと言います。
differentは「違う・違った」ということですから、「様々な」という意味でも使われます。
この他にこんな表現をすることもできます。
It was a pleasure sharing thoughts with individuals from diverse industries.
業種の方々と思いを共有できて嬉しかったです、という意味ですね。

このように具体的な点を上げることによって、表面的な例ではないことを示すことができます。
最後の文のWe're thrilled about～(～について期待に胸を膨らませている)という部分も覚えておくと便利です。
今度は竜太郎がペトラのお礼のメールに対して返信します。
リュウタロウは次のように述べようとしています。
信頼関係を築けたことを嬉しく思っています。
この文はどんな風に言うことができるでしょうか？
We're pleased to build a trusting relationship.
信頼関係を築くというのは、単にbuild trustでもいいですが、build a trusting relationshipという言い方も覚えておきましょう。
この他にどんな表現があるでしょうか？

Jenny: It's also possible to say,
We're delighted to have established a relationship built on trust.
Shibata: Yes, you can also say that.
relationship on trustは、「信頼の上に築かれた関係」という意味です。
