アバが40年ぶり新曲で帰って来た！
スウェーデンの人気ポップバンド、アバ/ABBA 。多分知らない人はいないと思いますが、僕は10代だった1980年代にリアルタイムでアバ/ABBA の人気を体験したので、とてもなつかしいです。 20代～30代の頃にはアバ/ABBA のベストアルバムを聞きまくったものでした。 ミュージカル マンマ・ミーア/Mamma Mia といえばアバ/ABBA の曲をモチーフにして彼らの人気曲で構成されているのです。
そんな彼らが40年の沈黙を破って復活しました！ 11月には新しいアルバム VOYAGE/ボヤージ も発表します。
そのアルバムの先行シングルとして2曲、Don't Shut Me Down と I Still Have Faiith In You が9月3日頃に先行リリースされました。 そしてアルバム発表の後には、アバターを活用してライブコンサートを行うというのです！4人共70歳を超えているのでさすがに実際のステージに立つのは無理がありそうですが、これなら最先端の技術をl駆使して素晴らしいステージを演出できそうで、とても楽しみです！
アバ/ABBA の活動再開は、彼らのヒット曲の多さと影響力の大きさは ザ・ビートルズ/The Beatles や マイケル・ジャクソン/Michael Jackson が活動再開することにも引けを取りません。 これらはもう実現不可能なことですが、こちらも、活動再開なんて全然想像できませんでした！メンバーは言ってました、「死ぬ前にもう一度だけ足跡を残してみようと思った」と。
