Saint Patrick's Day

I saw a woman with her daughter when I had got back to my way home. I knew her because I had made conversation with her. So, we use same bus and same bus stop. I have met her in the same bus twice.

Her daughter and she were in front of the church.

I called them. They noticed and approached to me. When I waved my hand to them, her daughter was driving her toy car. She is for years old. She is very sweet!

We made a conversation for five minutes. The woman gave me cookie when we finished making our conversation. The cookie shaped like a shamrock and it was with green sugar.

Why does it shape like a shamrock? Why does it color green?

You know, today is Saint Patrick's Day.

The cookie made me happy.

ATDOG

"Dinner is ATDOG," my host father said to me.

ATDOG? I didn't know what this was.

ATDOG?

In fact, ATDOG meant hot dog. So, I couldn't listen "hot dog" correctry...

REVENGE

My host mother surprised me when I had been in a dim kitchen at night. I was very surprised and said "Wah!" Then, she laughed.

I always can hear footsteps when all of my host family walk. On the other hand, I walk without footsteps. Sometimes, my host mother doesn't notice me because I walk without footsteps. So, she is surprised when she noticed me.

I think she revenged on me. :-)

PRONUNCIATION CLASS

I attended a pronunciation class today. The pronunciation of English is very difficult for me. I use very easy words at the class but I'm not good at pronouncing these words. Therefore, I sometimes cannot listen a correct word, so I misunderstand what someone say.

DINNER with ALL FAMILY

I had a dinner with all of the host family today. I spent a wonderful time. I had a fun!

Today's menu is very thick steak, poached potato and salad. (Now I remember, I eat meat dishes everyday... I have to go on a diet...)

Moreover, I ate iced chocolate cake after dinner. (I have to go on a diet...)

Today was the first time having a dinner all of the host family since I came in Canada. They made conversation enjoyably except for two of home stay mates (including me). I was barely able to listen what they said. Perhaps, they were talking about how to contract a cell phone. (After minute later, I conformed about it to host father. It seems to be right.)

CURIO

There is a cat in my host family's house. Her name is CURIO.

My host mother said, "CURIO is not friendly." But I don't think so. CURIO sometime attached herself to me. She is very cute!

I think I became a better snowboarder. I appreciated my classmate, he is Korean guy, teaching me how to play snowboarding.

It was a wonderful view on the top of the Grouse Mountain! (I think a night view is better than a day time. But I couldn't take a good picture. I think it is difficult to take a picture at night.)

Grouse Mountain

STUPID QUESTION

Perhups I mede my host father angry yesterday because I asked him stupid questions.

What kind of question did I ask?

He has a 24-year-old son. His sun is very tall. I asked him when his sun was taller than him. He became a little angly and he said, "Maybe 15 years old. But it doesn't matter!"

It was not the direct cause of his angry. But I should be more carefully when I ask the question.
