Gay Parade
I was in English Bay with my friend to see Gay Parade. There were a lot of people there and I could see people who wear costume.
Yesterday, I stayed my friend’s house and I met all of our friends at 11:00 near English Bay. Gay Parade started at 12:00 and it finished at 14:00. I saw a lot of people whom we never see in Japan. Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual, I think they are all proud of themselves. It’s nice.
It’s very difficult to explain about the parade but I strongly recommend you should join the parade if you go to Canada. Don’t miss it.
Fireworks in Vancouver
I went to see fireworks with my friends yesterday. It was so nice. I thought Japanese fireworks are the best all of the world. But I changed my mind, Canadian fireworks also very nice. (Actually, I should not compare Japanese fireworks and Canadians because they are different style.)
First of all, I should explain about Canadian fireworks. Because it's a little bit different between Japanese one and Canadians.
Fireworks in Canada are a kind of competition. Four country, Italia (7/26), China (7/29), Check republic (8/2), and Mexico (8/5), took part in the competition. (Canada did not take part in the competition this year.) Each country has just 30 minutes to play the fireworks. One thing the most different point between Japanese fireworks and Canadian is to synchronize music with fireworks. We can listen to music and see fireworks.
It seemed there were 100,000 people to see the fireworks in the first day. I have seen all of fireworks and I think Mexico is the best because their music and fireworks is very much and the order of the fireworks is very organized. I think China also very nice. There are two type of fireworks I have never seen when I saw Chinese fireworks.
I was impressed fireworks. Just one thing I don’t like is not to drink alcohols outside in Canada. It’s a problem for me.
ICE WINE
I will send a bottle of ice wine to my friend who broke his legs when he went snowboarding.
On 8th Jun, he finally has left the hospital. I want to send him something he might want. Normally, it’s a good idea to go his hospital with some fruits. But I cannot do that because I am in Canada!! That's why I decided to send a bottle of wine.
I hope he will like it...
I was in coffee shop. He is so cute!!
I was supposed to meeting my friends 2 pm. I was in coffee shop 1 pm because I wanted to study English.
I was looking for the desk whose size is for 4 people. I sat on the chair. And then, there is a man holding his children in front of me. His baby is so cute and smiling at me.
I tried asking the father how old his baby is. Then, I knew the baby was a 9-month-old boy. His baby was so friendly because he was smiling to me. I thought if that situation in Japan, most of Japanese baby started crying. But his baby was completely different.
The father and I had some conversations. After that I knew he was from USA and his job was a TV program creator(?). Finally he gave me his e-mail address. I was happy!
Sometimes, I have a chance to get e-mail or cell phone number from Canadian (or American). I think it's not common in Japan. But I have a lot of chance to run into that situation in Canada. I think Canadian people are so kind!
Anyway, I want to be more outgoing like a Canadian. I like them.
Listening skill
I have been living in Canada for three month.
Now I think listening skill is most important for me.
I have a chance to speak English with my host family but I often can't understand what they are talking about exactly. If I could understand their conversation, I would be comfortable when we had conversations.
I have a Brazilian home mate who speaks English very well. Sometimes he advice me, “If you want to improve your listening skill, you should listen to music and radio and watch TV.” And he said, "When you hear some sentences, you should repeat after that."
Anyway, it's too difficult for me. I'll keep trying this practice!

I'm looking for part-time job
Now I'm looking for part-time job.
I've already applied my resume to a restaurant and a coffee shop. The manager of coffee shop called me my cell-phone today. I'll take job interview 2:30 pm on this Sunday.
Why am I looking for a part-time job?
Because I don't have much money but I want to spend money. For example: to go for drink with my friends, to buy something, to go coffee shop, and so on.
Now it's not comfortable whenever I spent some money. I think if I could get some money, it's more comfortable to spent money!
Ofcourse, to study English is the most important things for me. I study English more!
I went to Stanley Park for playing tennis
I went to Stanley Park for playing tennis today. We were five people, one Korean man, three Japanese women, and me. But we have only two rackets which are both of mine. :-)
Stanley Park is beautiful Park. It has about ten tennis coats and the coats are free. But there are a lot of people there. We often have to wait for using tennis coat.
The tennis coat has a waiting system. If you keep sitting on the bench beside the tennis court for thirty minutes, we can play tennis. (On the other hand, if someone keep sitting on the bench beside your tennis court, you have to quit playing tennis.)
Anyway, I have friends who want to play tennis. So I will maybe make a tennis team like a MUSASHINO TENNIS in which I was.
(I will type Japanese sentences down below each English sentences.)
