For some reason, my laptop, which I named Zoro, so it would be just as awesome and unbreakable as its namesake, is broken. I'm using it at the moment, but It goes blue screen whenever the hdd light is on steadily. I reformatted twice already and frankly, I'm tired of reformatting. So I'm just going to let it go and find out if it could be fixed by my tinkering knowledge before giving up and dragging it to the Acer Shop where it was bought.

It's just a little more than 2 years old, man. Hal, my older laptop which was bought from Dubai, UAE has been around since 2008, give or take a few months. Same brand, different OS (it still runs on XP, this one runs on Win7.

Imagine that.

I've been tinkering around since 5 in the morning, and it's now what, 10:30 a.m.? Ugh. I haven't had breakfast yet, if you can believe that. If this goes out for repairs, it's going to be the first time since 2007. Ugh. So annoying. Intense smell

My goodness, Zoro. Please don't quit on me, man. Gahn
Before I sleep, I have been thinking of my my day, what it was about, what were the high and low points, who offended me and who I offended and what I should have done better.

Today, it was all about clarity. Clarity in the sense that life's doors opened and that I affirmed the value of a lot of things in my life. There are three things that stand out:

1. The power of belief and prayer is amazing in so many ways. It has given me comfort and the courage to make important changes that I have always wanted but didn't have the chance to do. The last vestiges of doubt inside me on the existence of a higher power out there disappeared completely.

2. I am passionate about a lot of things - from the smallest bit to the larger-than-life matters. When I say passionate, I never fail to see things through with enough fervour to light an entire football stadium (along with thousand of spectator's bums) on fire. I am not kidding. I never really knew I have it in me. I just don't do well with shenanigans - or at least those I view as such. When I like something, I like it with everything I am - same goes for when I dislike. I have my own opinion on different matters. In fact, I always have an opinion on anything and everything and I will stand by them until proven otherwise; I mean irrefutable proof, mind you.

3. In connection to number 2, I don't dislike something without trying it out first -- or at least have some knowledge about it. I like doing research and experiments. I'm not kidding when I say I hate kimchi because I really don't like the taste. I'm also not kidding when I say I love cooking for people. They are not just formed on whim and I don't really care if people find me difficult to deal with, hurtful and weird. My tastes may not be the same as everybody else (a lot of them, actually), but I always have my reasons. I don't really care about other people's opinion of me.

It's strange how insightful this day has been. Not only did I get a clear picture of how everything and everyone around me work, but also how my own mind works.

I guess this is a sizable step forward to the right direction.
I was sorting through old pics when I came upon a few shot during the time when Mamau, Doc, Aggy-pon, Gayz and I played billiards in Manila. It was a fun day and I can still remember all the laughter and the taunts as we played successive casual games.

I sucked majorly, I admit I didn't get the hang of it then and probably never will ever billiards to me is like baseball -.... You have to hit a hard round object using a flimsy stick. I just play because I'm surrounded with good friends (awesome company too).  I wish to play with them again - or at least see them again -.. Individually or together.

So far, the only people I have met up with recently are Aggy-pon and Doc. Mamau is currently residing in Dubai and Gayz is eternally busy with insurance work. But I take what I can get. I love the messages I get from them, so much that I actually end up all teary-eyed whenever I read (and sometimes reread) the heartfelt words.  \

Ah, so much nostalgia from just bits and pieces of memory caught on camera.
