毎年恒例
SoCal JSA合同運動会
！！！！
Here we come! The biggest annual JSA event; SoCal Undokai!!!!!
参加校は
UCLA、USC、UCSB、UCI、UCSD、CSUN、CSULB、UNLV、Cal Poly、LACT&JSN、
そして私たちSDSU！
The participating schools were... UCLA, USC, UCSB, UCI, UCSD, CSUN, CSULB, UNLV, Cal Poly, LACT&JSN aaaannnd...us! SDSU!!:)
会場はハンティントンビーチにあるBolsa Chica Beach
Undokai was held at Bolsa Chica Beach@Huntington Beach
競技内容は
These were the activities:
ドッジボール
(dodgeball)
障害物競走
(obstacle course)
８人９脚
(nine-legged race)
綱引き
(tug-of-war)
リレー
(relay race)
どれも盛り上がるものばかり！！＾＾
All the activities were so exciting!!!^^
我がSDSUは
We SDSU were:
ドッジボールで優勝
1st place at dodgeball,
障害物競走で上位に食い込み、
high-rank winners at the obstacle course,
８人９脚ではCSULB、UCSDと組んで勝利、
won as a team with CSULB&UCSD at the nine-legged race,
綱引きでも優勝
1st place at tug-of-war!!!
リレーはUCSDに次いで２位！！！
ranked 2nd after UCSD at the relay race!!!
総合優勝はもちろん、
The overall champion, however, was of course....

この運動会での掟、

優勝校が最下位にパイ投げ

The champions throw pies at the last place team....!!
そしてその日誕生日だったメンバーの
直人にもみんなでパイ投げ＾＾
We threw pies at one of our members; Naoto, the birthday boy!;)
最高の誕生日になったよね？

最高の仲間と勝ち取った総合優勝！！！
A victory goes to the best team!!!

Hope For Japan
２０１１年 ３月１７日
-Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!:)
前述のとおり、SDSU JSAはキャンパスより正式な許可が取れたので募金活動を開始しました。
-As mentioned in the last blog, we, SDSU JSA, officially began fundraising for Japan after receiving permission from our campus:)
募金をして下さった方々には「どうもありがとう」の気持ちを込めて、
みんなで作った鶴を贈ることにしました。
-A handmade origami crane was given to each donator as a thank you token for supporting us.
また、「頑張れ日本！」と書かれた横断幕に募金をして下さった方々のサインを書いて頂くことにしました。これも被災地へ寄付金と共に送る予定です。
-We had also asked all donators to sign our banner which varied in messages such as "Ganbare Japan (Good Luck Japan)" and "Love Japan."
We will send them to the disaster area with all the donations.
2:00~4:00pmの２時間だけでなんと初日に集まった金額は$853.42!!
-After just only two hours of fundraising, our grand total turned out to be a shocking $853.42 of donations on our first day!
これまでに寄付して下さった方々には本当に感謝しております。
ご協力どうもありがとうございました。
来週も月曜日から木曜日まで同じ時間、同じ場所で募金活動を行う予定です。
Our fundraiser will take place this week on Monday-Thursday from 2:00PM- 4:00PM in front of the Aztec Student Bookstore.
We truly appreciate all of those who donated to help Japan.
さて、Hope For Japanのブレスレットが今日（３月２０日）手に入りました！
-Today, March 20th, we got bracelets for "Hope For Japan"!!
このブレスレットを３月２５日にSDSU NSU(Niikei Student Union)と合同で行われるチャリティイベントで販売を開始します。
-On March 25th, JSA will be joining SDSU NSU for a charity event. During this event, red and white bracelets that say "Hope for Japan" will be sold.
赤と白の２種類が有り、とてもかわいいデザインです！
-We have red and white bracelets. Both of them are very cute!!:)
これからも順次イベントが決まり次第更新していきます。
-We will keep updated as the events coming up.

Earthquake in Japan
２０１１年３月１１日
この日、みなさんもご存知の通り、日本で大きな地震が起こりました。
March 11th, there was a massive earthquake in Japan.
日本で観測史上最大ともいわれるこの大きな地震で
The earthquake was the biggest in record history.
津波、頻発する余震、原発の故障による放射物漏洩、
停電など地震発生から４日が経った今も
Tsunami, Aftershocks, radiation from damaged nuclear plants, blackout....
被害の拡大はとどまることを知りません。
The damage has still continued to spread out even now.
日本に住む両親や友人がこれからの余震や二次災害の恐怖におびえるなか、
While my parents and my friends in Japan are fear of aftershocks and secondary disasters,
留学生の私はアメリカにいて何もすることができず、
悔しくて悔しくてたまりませんでした。
I, an international student in the US, cannot do anything from here.
It was very very frustrating.
アメリカにいながらにして何か出来ることはないか
Is there anything we can do from the US?
いまの自分たちにできることはないだろうか
What can we do for Japan?
今回、私たちはカリフォルニアの複数校と提携して
Now, we decided to associate with other California universities
"Hope For Japan"と題し、チャリティ活動を行うことにしました。
and started a charity called "Hope for Japan"
現在の提携校はJSNを筆頭とするUCSB,UCLA,UCI, CSULB, CSUN, Cal Poly Pomona。
Currently associated universities: JSN, UCSB, UCLA, UCI, CSULB, CSUN, Cal Poly Pomona.
これからも提携校は拡大していくことでしょう。
The network will be extended more and more.
私たちSDSU JSAは学校の許可が取れ次第キャンパスでの募金活動を開始します。
We SDSU JSA will start asking for donation on campus as soon as we officially get permission.
現在キャンパス内のOshi'sとISCにて募金箱を設置しております。
There's a donation box at Oshi's and ISC right now.
＄２以上を寄付して下さった方にはブレスレットを差し上げます。
（※ブレスレットは今週末搬入予定）
For those who donated more than $2, we will give you a bracelet.
(※We will get the bracelets by the end of this week)
みなさんからの募金はAmerican Red Crossへ寄付され、
被災地の救済活動に役立つこととなります。
The money collected from you will be donated to American Red Cross and
will be used for people in disaster areas.
その他にもSDSUでは様々なチャリティ活動を行います。
There are more various charity events coming up in SDSU.
